The Department of Mathematics at Augusta University invites applications for a tenure-track position to begin in August 2022, with rank commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applicants must possess a research doctorate. Having postdoctoral experience is preferred. We are seeking candidates who can enrich our M.S. program in Biological and Computational Mathematics, so expertise in Biomathematics, computational mathematics, mathematical modeling, or various areas of differential equations is preferred. The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to excellence in research and teaching and will be expected to establish an externally funded research program suitable for training both graduate and undergraduate students. Applicants will teach introductory courses, advanced undergraduate courses, and graduate courses which align with their areas of expertise. Our M.S. in Biological and Computational Mathematics, while young, is growing and ambitious. We work closely with the School of Computer and Cyber Sciences in support of their undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as collaborating in their developing program in biomedical systems engineering. Furthermore, we are developing research ties with the Medical College of Georgia as we build a distinctive identity of applying mathematics to problems of human and public health.
