Apple's MLPT (Machine Learning Platform & Technology) Operations team in China is looking for highly motivated and dedicated System Engineer Intern to build and operate the next generation of platform, frameworks and software services that powers several critically important applications.

Apple's MLPT (Machine Learning Platform & Technology) Operations team in China is looking for highly motivated and dedicated System Engineer Intern to build and operate the next generation of platform, frameworks and software services that powers several critically important applications.
Key Qualifications
- - Excellent communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
- - Ability to learn and apply new technologies and frameworks.
- - Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical capabilities.
- - Passion for developing and testing clear, robust code.
- - Experience with a server-side programming environments using languages like Go and Python
- - Familiarity to web development is a plus.
- - Experience in data analysis (SQL, Python/Jupyter Notebooks, Tableau, Superset) is a plus.
- - Experience with integrating and using observability or telemetry systems to monitor distributed services is a plus.
- - Experience with distributed data collection and data streaming is a plus.
Description
In this highly visible role, you will collaborate with team members to:
- design, write and maintain software and infrastructure that power several critically important applications
- analyze system metrics and develop plans to consistently improve system reliability and performance
- leverage brand new machine learning algorithms to improve runtime and operations efficiency

Education & Experience
Currently pursuing a PhD, Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Additional Requirements
- This position is a full-time internship and availability for 6 months as a minimum is preferred.
