Job Description

Moffitt Cancer Center’s Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Interventional Radiology invites applications for an Assistant/Associate/Senior Member faculty appointment in the Body Imaging Division. We are a hybrid academic practice affiliated with the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine with university appointments available. Our faculty serve as core members for the USF Health Department of Radiology Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology residency programs.

 

Applicants must have an M.D. Degree, a Florida medical license or be eligible for one, completed fellowship in Radiology sub-specialty area, and board certified or eligible in Radiology.

 

Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute is Florida’s only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. We are expanding our faculty to meet substantial institutional growth. The Cancer Center comprises a large, 3 facility ambulatory care practice, a 206-bed hospital, with a 36-bed blood and marrow transplant pro-gram, 15 state of the art operating suites, a 30 bed intensive care unit, a high volume screening program, and a basic science research facility.

 

The rapidly expanding Body Imaging section operates 7 CT, 8 MRI, and 4 PET/CT scanners. Faculty members from the section participate in 15 disease-focused multidisciplinary clinical conferences each week. A large number of research and teaching opportunities are available. All investigator-initiated clinical trials at Moffitt include a radiologist as co-investigator. The Imaging Research program receives about $7 million per year in NIH funding and includes 1400 sq. ft. of wet lab space, a full animal imaging suite, and sophisticated image analytic and mathematical modeling capabilities. Dedicated academic time is provided and PhD-level scientists are employed by the department to assist the clinical faculty in their research efforts.
