The Digital Manufacturing Team is responsible for the delivery of Pfizer’s Core Digital Manufacturing Operations Management (MoM) capabilities at every level of the Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) Plant Network (ISA 95 Levels 0-4). These solutions are critical to Manufacturing & Lab Execution, Manufacturing Process Intelligence and Production Optimization that aim to improve product quality, increase asset utilization/uptime, automate manual workflows, and streamline plant floor operations. The Digital Manufacturing vision is to “Simplify processes and experiences to drive PGS outcomes”.
The Manufacturing 4.0 (M4.0) Team supports all of Pfizer’s Core Manufacturing & Engineering Solutions, while enabling a secure, seamless flow of contextualized data from the device & control levels, all the way to the top of the Enterprise. The M4.0 Solution Train is comprised for 5 Agile Release Trains (ART):

The Manager, M4.0 Solution Delivery will play the role of Release Train Engineer (RTE) for one of the Agile Release Trains within Manufacturing 4.0. The RTE will ensure that all the ART’s solutions are delivered and released according to the prioritization set by the business drivers and value. The Manager, Solution Delivery will be accountable for tracking the flow of delivery while ensuring that teams remain efficient and progress towards agile maturity. The Manager, Solution Delivery will work closely with the Solution Train Engineer, Scrum Masters, Product Managers and Product Owners to align on the delivery of the teams’ commitments.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manager, Solution Delivery colleague’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage and optimize the flow of value through the ART (Agile Release Train) using various tools, such as the Program Board and Kanbans
Ensure synthesis of vision, roadmap, and backlog through pre and post Program Increment (PI) planning events and ensures implementation and delivery of the agile processes
Coordinate solution releases and site deployment efforts across teams to ensure that such commitments are feasible and properly planned
Track and report on delivery against planned solution releases and deployments, escalate issues and roadblocks
Communicate with the stakeholders, manage risks, dependencies
Communicate PI calendars, ensuring teams are ready for each PI, encourage collaboration and improve agility level of ART
Facilitate the PI planning event
Summarize program PI objectives and publish them for visibility and transparency
Ensure adherence to Guardrails and assist with economic decision making
Schedule and support system Demo for the ART’s integrated work
Schedule and facilitate frequent ‘scrum of scrums’ events with all the scrum masters
Schedule and facilitate PO Sync events with the product manager and the product owners
Inspect and adapt workshop - Plan and schedule I&A demonstration of the entire PI
Facilitate problem-solving workshop to identify process improvements for the next PI
Drive relentless improvement within the ART, track delivery of teams within the ART
Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
Escalate and track impediments
Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks
Encourage collaboration between teams and System and Solution Architects/Engineering
Work with Solution Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree
5+ years of relevant experience
Experience leading Agile Software Delivery
Ability to work across multiple concurrent activities and successfully adapt to changing priorities as required.
Strong process and procedure skills, most particularly regarding System Development Lifecycle, functional enhancement governance, and stakeholder management – Required
Strong experience in MS Office Products (i.e., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
SAFe RTE Certification
Scrum Master Certification
Product Owner Certification
GxP Systems Management Experience
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Ability to travel up to 20%. Ability to meet with colleagues virtually across different regions
