This role on the BAI Data Science team specializes in the areas of Promotional Impact analysis and Resource Allocation to inform inline optimization of a portfolio’s promotional strategy and the impact of enhancements or transformations to the promotional model. This Manager position will be responsible for delivery of analyses on the aforementioned areas in the Japan Market. Successful candidate will have excellent consulting / project management skills, hands-on experience running Resource Allocation & Promotional Response Modeling exercises & will be team oriented.

This role is dynamic, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and covers a broad range of strategic topics that are critical to our business. The successful candidate will join BAI colleagues worldwide that are constantly supporting business transformation through their proactive thought leadership, innovative analytical capabilities, and their ability to communicate highly complex and dynamic information in new and creative ways.

What you can look forward to:

  • Lead Commercial Optimization & Go to market transformation analytics in Japan.
  • Partner closely with market teams & category-aligned analytics colleagues to capture GTM transformation analytics demand in priority markets.
  • Lead data science projects end-to-end or deliver as part of large-scale projects & communicate recommendations to senior commercial leaders.
  • Capture requirements to further develop roadmap for analytic infrastructure and to move capabilities from prototype to production.
  • Partner with other BAI colleagues, including BAI data scientists and BAI insight partners, to provide holistic insights based on available secondary and primary research & participate in cross-functional projects.
  • Be accountable for the analytics work done by third party vendors.

What you offer:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Fluent in Japanese and English, both written and verbal.
  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • 5+ years as a sales/marketing quantitative analyst or in marketing/strategy consulting in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Insight and understanding of the pharma health care space (physician-level prescribing, institutional sales data, payer-prescriber-level data, formulary data, patient-level data, etc.), trends, and issues.
  • Significant hands-on experience analyzing large secondary datasets & developing data-driven analytical models.
  • Ability to translate and deliver analytical results into meaningful insights.
  • Ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple demands and deal with ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in SQL and Python/R.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analytic tools such as Tableau.
  • Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in quantitative field or quantitative MBA is preferred.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: Marketing Mix Modeling, Field Force Sizing & Customer Segmentation.

  • Limited Business Travel may be required.
