Mission HydroSci (MHS) is currently a 10-hour first person 3D narrative adventure for PC and Mac that teaches middle school students Water Science and Scientific Argumentation. Players crash after scouting an earth-like planet, and must utilize water resources to survive. Along the way they discover ancient alien ruins depicting advanced water engineering techniques. It is fully voice acted with a cast of 6 characters, and is an entire curricular unit replacement with accompanying teacher materials such as a dashboard, strategy guide, slides, and discussion questions. Over the next 5 years we will be redesigning the game to be ported to Web and Mobile platforms as well as enhancing the player engagement by adding features such as a third person avatar customization system.

Adroit Studios is expanding our team and looking for a creative and energetic Unity Game Developer to join us. We have a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you will work with directors, designers, producers and programmers in the creation and implementation of leading edge games and features. In this position you will work closely with our team to create specifications and systems for various game projects such as dialogue, quests, AI, and user interaction.

Job Duties include:

Implementing new features and enhancing the features related to the gameplay of our games. Writing clear, functional, documented and maintainable code according to the game design documentation, adhering to programming standards set.
Document and peer review technical designs and code with fellow programmers and MHS team leads regularly.
Provide technical knowledge to help develop cutting-edge technologies for use in our games, help mentor our junior developers, and help further improve our internal workflow practices.
Work closely with designers, artist, QA, and other engineers to ensure a great player experience.
Consistently refine one's own programming abilites and learn new software packages and in-house tools as well as share new knowledge amongst the team.
Salary
Salary and grade commensurate with education and experience.

Salary Range: $55,208.00 - $77,044.00/year

Shift
Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00pm with flexible hours

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Game Development, or a comparable field.

Experience with game development from start to finish, at least one shipped title.
