Position Summary
The System VP, IT Strategic Services and Business Management will be responsible for creating and driving the strategic direction, leading the transformation office, and managing the business of the newly formed/consolidated IT Operations organization. This role will be responsible for establishing an IT Operations strategic plan, establishing governance structure and process to drive overall IT Operations transformation, and responsible for driving consistency across IT Operations for analytics, knowledge management, methods, tools, and processes. This role will also lead the business management office, program management office, portfolio management, and risk/compliance for the organization.
Key Responsibilities include:
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain an understanding of strategic priorities across COH overall, to align IT to broader organization strategies.
- Lead the creation of the overall IT strategy, collaborating with leaders throughout the organization to collect input and align on strategic priorities.
- Develop an implementation plan for the IT strategy, establish and lead a team to support strategy operationalization, and oversee strategy execution.
- Establish investment priorities for IT based on strategic priorities and the overall portfolio.
- Establish the structure, governance, and processes for the Transformation Management Office; stand up and lead a team to drive transformation management; and oversee all transformation management activities, projects, and deliverables.
- Define governance methods and processes for consistency use by the entire organization.
- Establish and lead a program management office for IT, establishing standards in program management methods, tools, and processes.
- Drive portfolio management and maintain holistic view of all work efforts, overseeing project stand-ups and conducting periodic operational reviews across the portfolio, including all initiatives, projects, investments, and improvement ideas, agnostic of funding sources.
- Oversee business case development standards and processes, business case execution, and attainment of targeted benefits and project metrics.
- Lead risk management and compliance strategy, establishing standards to be executed in a distributed manner throughout the organization, and oversee the execution and adjudication of risk reviews.
- Lead efforts to make IT more data-driven and determine data analysis tools and resources to support analytics efforts across the organization.
- Lead knowledge management efforts to facilitate creation, sharing, usage, and management of knowledge and information.
- Define standards for process documentation and management to be executed throughout the organization.
- Drive the development, management, and organization-wide adherence to standards for supplier engagement, management, evaluation, performance reviews and define the overall vendor support strategy.
- Oversee lifecycle management strategy and approach.
- Support the creation and implementation of automation, sourcing, and talent strategies.
- Lead people management activities to drive overall workforce engagement and development.

Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
- B.S. degree in business, computer science or related field.
- 15 years of progressively more responsible roles in high-level leadership roles in IT operations, including leading development of strategy and successfully executing same within large scale, highly reliable national or global IT operations, including experience in healthcare IT.
Preferred education experience and skills:
- Master’s level graduate degree and/or M.B.A.
