Job Description
Summary
The Boeynaems lab seeks a research associate to study how protein condensation is implicated in the etiology of neurodegenerative disease and brain cancer. The work includes protein biochemistry/biophysics, cell culture, microscopy and mass spectrometry.
Job Duties
- Executes protocols and conducts research experiments, including but not limited to cell culture, microscopy, mass spectrometry, immunofluorescence, DNA preparation, and general lab techniques.
- Collects, compiles, analyzes and presents data to the PI and other lab members.
- Administrative and organizational lab management duties include assisting PI with administration, tracking inventory, organizing lab events, documenting and storing critical reagents.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or a related field.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong organizational and experimental skills.
- Communicative and able to work well in a team.
