Job Description
ROLE SUMMARY
- The role of the Senior Manager Material Supply Excellence team is to lead the global business process ownership for assigned systems, data and reporting as it relates to Materials Management, Procured Inventory Management, Plant Logistics and overall material flow.
- The overall responsibility of the team is to ensure reliable, efficient flow of goods into and through our manufacturing sites.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as global lead and business owner for element(s) of Site Material Supply processes; Material Management, Logistics, Inventory, Material Flow etc.
- Lead the definition and codify which standard processes are required and the level of tailoring to site/network that is needed.
- Drive the network strategy related to process and toolset design and deploy the targeted site material supply processes improvement projects with above-site stakeholders.
- Define and own the implementation and monitoring of the global Material Supply metrics for assigned sites, ensuring global guidance and governance is followed.
- Provide ongoing business support to executed projects by monitoring execution and providing/supporting issue resolution activities.
- Partner closely with Site Supply Chain leaders, Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx), Digital and Global Supply Chain (GSC) partners to define improvement strategies.
- Deploy the new capabilities for the assigned sites.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in a Technical or Business field with 7+ years of relevant experience required.
- Experienced in ERP-driven site material supply activities.
- Proven experience in acting as a change manager for business process changes.
- Demonstrated understanding of execution processes in a pharma site, particularly related to the flow of goods into and through the site.
- Ability to work in a complex matrix organization with strong team work orientation required and in an environment of competing priorities and deadlines.
- Must have demonstrated consultative, influencing, analytical, strategic thinking/planning and problem solving skills.
- Ability to interact, build effective relationships, and influence leaders at all levels of the organization is imperative.
- Solid oral and written communication, and presentation, and project management skills are required. Excellent targeted messaging skills are a requirement.
- Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in IMEx Deployment, or other Lean Production Systems, tools or methodologies
- Proven technical experience with SAP ECC – primarily MM and LE modules
- Experience leading and managing global cross-functional matrixed project teams
- Experience with data analytics tools and methodologies
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Travel requirements: up to 50%. This is a global role, directly supporting our sites around the world
- Ability to communicate across regions, countries, cultures and timezones
- Due to global nature of the role, may require periodic out-of-hours meetings etc.
