Summary
Do you love the Mac and want to help build the technology that enables over a million iOS apps to run on macOS?
Join the Mac Catalyst team and work on the software that lets developers bring their iOS apps to macOS and allows Apple Silicon Macs to run iOS apps natively. On this team, you will get to work directly with the UIKit and AppKit teams to allow these frameworks to work together to enable Mac Catalyst applications. Help us continue to advance this technology to give developers the ability to build even more incredible applications for the Mac!
Key Qualifications
  • Experience and proficiency with Objective-C and Swift
  • A deep understanding of UIKit or AppKit (or better yet, both!)
  • The ability to work collaboratively and explain complex ideas clearly
Description
As a member of the Mac Catalyst team, you will be instrumental in continuing to enhance the Catalyst infrastructure to enable iOS apps to work incredibly well on macOS. You will be responsible for bringing ideas to life through all stages of development:
-Initial research
-API design and proposals
-Testing and development
-Documentation
-Mentoring to adopters
You’ll join us in upbeat discussions on each other’s work and ideas, alongside people from different teams and with different perspectives. We work closely with the UIKit, AppKit, and SwiftUI teams, and you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with other cross-functional teams across Apple, including developer tools, design, technical documentation, and more. Throughout the entire process, you will not only be using your experience to work through problems, but also continue to learn and develop your skills.
Education & Experience
Bachelorʼs Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
