Summary
Join our Wireless Technologies and Ecosystems (WTE)organization and be a part of bringing groundbreaking wireless connectivity to the world. You’ll design, develop, and patent the next generation of our state-of-the art wireless technology. You’ll collaborate across departments to help craft wireless solutions that elevate the customer experience with Apple products and services.
Cellular Core Services - You want to be at the heart of Apple's Cellular System Software organization, leading a team of outstanding engineers, working with multi-functional organizations to drive innovation and develop products used by millions worldwide. We design and develop the core system software technologies that are deployed across all Apple Cellular product areas. Be ready to make something extraordinary when you come here. To be successful in this position, you should have a strong technical foundation in embedded systems, real time operating system, C/C++, on/off device debugging, are able to show initiative, learn new technologies quickly and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Qualifications
- 10+ years of proven excellence in embedded systems, real time operating system, device drivers, low-level hardware interfaces and hardware abstration layers
- 1+ years leading embedded software development team, large and complex projects, including feature planning, prioritization, status tracking, issue triage & reporting
- Highly organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about achieving results with a sense of product ownership and track record of product development
- Experience with configuration and release management, continuous integration, and regression testing
- Experience collaborating with other cross functional disciplines
Description
This is a high visibility job that involves leading activities for our team. As a manager, you will play a significant part in the development of products by engaging in very collaborative, rapidly changing environment to integrate new technologies into our designs. You will fully engage to contribute at every stage of the Apple product development cycle, from concept to production, driving both individual product features and overall system validation activities.

Areas of Responsibilities:
Drive the current and future software architecture & designs for your team’s deliverables, delivering outstanding performance with minimal latency, while minimizing power and memory footprint
Drive effective workflows to enable rapid feature development without sacrificing quality and stability, including release management, continuous integration, and regression testing.
Collaborate closely with our cross fucntional partners
Take ownership for the design and development process, validation, planning, and communication with senior management
Outline requirements & document feature specs
Coordinate with your engineering team and the program management team for technical updates
Make strategic technical product decisions that positively affect the engineering team’s ability to deliver embedded technologies
Provide employees career-development opportunities and maintain an ongoing constructive feedback loop with them
Inspire innovation and technical growth in your employees through hands-on mentoring and encouragement

Education & Experience
BS or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
