Summary
Join the Wireless Technologies and Ecosystems (WTE) organization and be part of outstanding team of engineers driving innovation on products used by millions worldwide. Our team is looking for a highly motivated Engineering Manager/Technical Lead to drive optimization of software design for Apple’s latest products, including the next generation of Apple Watch, AirPods, iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Key Qualifications
  • Experience leading and mentoring a team of talented engineers in a cross-functional environment
  • Strong technical experience in one of connectivity technologies - WiFi, Bluetooth or Thread
  • Prior experience in evaluating design trade-offs in a lab or simulation environment
  • Experience using python for data analysis and visualization
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite
  • Excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills
Description
Be a key member of the Connectivity Firmware Performance team where you will be managing a team of Engineers responsible for identification of software design optimizations using a data driven methodology. You and your team will have an opportunity to influence design and delivery of a highly optimized connectivity software that will be running on products being used by millions of customers worldwide. Strong sense of ownership, cross functional collaboration & attention to detail are a must to succeed in this role.

Education & Experience
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Masters or PhD preferred

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $155,500 and $269,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
