That’s because this group is committed to building fully integrated operating systems that combine hardware, software, and apps into a single Apple experience. Be a part of making the next generation of Apple products. We work across the entire system, from the kernel up through libraries, frameworks, and applications. As an engineer you will have a major impact on the design and implementation of Apple virtualization technologies as well as virtualizing Apple operating systems and Apple products, collaborating closely with experts throughout Software Engineering and Hardware Technologies organizations.
Key Qualifications
  • Comfortable with C and C++ programming skills
  • Experience with Objective-C and/or Swift
  • Strong understanding of Operating Systems internals
  • Experience with kernel and/or system framework and/or device driver development
  • Previous experience with virtualization (Intel or ARM) Strong desire to deliver proven work on schedule
  • Excellent collaborative skills, with strong written and verbal communication
Description
In this team you'll work on virtualization technologies including implementing new virtual machines, adding virtual device capabilities, bringing up the whole Apple operating systems in a virtual machine, exposing new features to users through the Virtualization framework, working and improving on the core framework as well as focusing on reliability and performance of products.
Education & Experience
BS or higher degree, Computer Science/Computer Engineering
