Job Description

Job Summary:
The Clinical Physicist is responsible for performing the clinical physics activities relating to the division of Radiation Oncology under the direction of the Chief Clinical Physicist.

 

Qualifications:


Education:

Masters Degree in Physics or related field, or Bachelors Degree in Physics Engineering specializing in Medical Physics.

 

Training/Experience:

  • Three years in a radiation therapy department working in dosimetry and physics.
  • Experience with external and internal radiation applied to the treatment cancer.
  • Knowledge of treatment planning equipment, radiation measuring equipment, calibration procedures, linear accelerator operation, brachytherapy and national protocols.

Licensure:

Licensed by the State of Florida Department of Health in Therapeutic Radiological Physics.
