Job Summary
The Pulmonary Function Technologist will be responsible for performing pulmonary function testing and arterial blood gases. Additional responsibilities are required, such as maintaining test equipment and blood gas equipment, communicating with the pulmonary team, ordering supplies, and completing daily clerical tasks. They will serve as an ambassador for the department as well as the Center by demonstrating exceptional customer service skills.
Requirements:
- High School diploma/GED
- BLS certification
- RRT/CRT or Clinical Lab Technician with Blood Gas Specialty
- One year's experience performing full pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gases.
Preferred:
- CPFT
- RPFT
- Graduate of an AMA accredited program in cardiopulmonary technology or respiratory care.
