If so, you could be the Physical Security Systems Specialist we are seeking to join Sandia's high functioning team with the Safeguards and Security, Physical Security Systems Department. In this role, you will guide process development and project management for high-risk, high-impact, strategic projects across a multi-disciplinary, multi-function group of Subject Matter Experts and Departments. This requires experience communicating across audiences, effectively defining and utilizing project management tools, and updating leadership. The position requires working in a dynamic, collaborative environment and reports to the Physical Security Systems Department Manager, while supporting the Safeguards and Security Operations Senior Manager, with projects across Safeguards and Security OperationsOn any given day, you may be called on to: + Posses a strong business acumen, proven record of project success, high level of attention to detail, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, to include strong written and verbal communication skills to support preparing detailed written report. + Be accountable for driving execution and delivery of projects or support programs from start to finish. + Establish strong partnerships and engagement with project stakeholders. + Ensure proactive scheduling of key deliverables, milestones, and deliverable tasks. + Prepare program/project status reports to demonstrate project overall health, key performance indicator (KPI), risk, issues, accomplishments, next steps, and escalation requests. + Create and maintain data visualization elements to provide a graphic demonstration of project analytics and metrics. + Collaborate in a multi-tasked and dynamic work environment. Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite. Qualifications We Require: + Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Homeland Security, Technical, Criminal Justice, Criminology, Business, etc.) plus five (5) years of experience or equivalent combination of relevant education and relevant experience. + Experience and knowledge of Physical Security programs and operations such as barriers, delay mechanisms, security risk assessments, and vulnerability assessments, etc. + Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DOE Q-Level Security Clearance. Qualifications We Desire: + Experience in leading technical projects or multi-organizational efforts. + Demonstrated critical thinking and planning skills. + Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills and the ability to work effectively across a wide range of disciplines in a diverse corporate and customer environment. + Proven ability to deliver projects on time while communicating with teams and leadership. + Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills + DOE/NNSA Security directives as well as quality and assurance methods. + Developing process/procedures and documentation. + Identifying efficiencies in work processes, procedures and making recommended improvements. + Security assessments to support DOE audits and assessment of physical security systems. + Project Management Professional (PMP) certified or equivalent. + Be an ambitious and independent team member working within a diverse team environment/group dynamics on multiple concurrent activities to meet a variety of customer requirements. + Self- directed, customer focused, and strong interpersonal and team skills. + Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Outlook, SharePoint, etc. + Safeguards and Security experience with an emphasis in Physical Security, Protective Force, Project Lead, and Quality & Assurance. About Our Team: The Physical Security Department provides physical security in support of SNL Mission Initiatives. There are (4) main areas within the Physical Security Department: Protection Planning & Risk Analysis, Security Areas, Secure Storage (VTRs) and Barriers & Delay (Lock & Keys). The Physical Security Department supports a holistic security model across the security topical areas aligned to DOE security requirements. The Physical Security department collaborates and partners with other departments within and outside the Safeguards and Security Center. The department also provides Physical Security support to Tonopah Test Range (TTR) Mission and other remote and contract sites. Posting Duration: This posting will be open for application submissions for a minimum of seven (7) calendar days, including the ‘posting date’. Security Clearance: Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Salary Range: $75,900 - $146,200 *Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
