What Your Job Will Be Like:
Are you passionate about people and customer service? If so, Organization 035221, HR Solutions – Administration & Compensation, is currently seeking a high-energy and highly motivated HR Generalist to help Human Resources ensure accurate, timely, and excellent service. The selected candidate will provide support to all Sandia employees, candidates, and retirees in their moments that matter.
This role will provide front-line customer service via phone and case management systems. Work is performed in a large volume, fast-paced environment and must be done with exceptional customer service and accuracy.
This position reports directly to the HR Solutions Administrative & Compensation Team Lead.
On any given day, one may be called upon to:
+ Respond to phone and online inquiries from employees and managers at all levels
+ Resolve questions and issues by accessing information in multiple computer systems (e.g., Oracle Service Cloud, PeopleSoft, ProMapp, and MS Word)
+ Advance complex HR inquires to HR Operations Specialists and provide necessary documentation to support requests; route/refer calls for advanced support and follow up as required
+ Work independently to process transactions in support of HR functions by performing tasks such as collecting required information/documentation and additional information as needed from employees, managers, and/or others in HR, performing data entry, sending documents and correspondence, and filing and other administrative tasks
+ Assist customers navigating internal resources on self-service and HR technology tools
+ Set priorities independently for completing work and manage time to meet target dates and objectives
Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.
Operational hours are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Schedules will support operational needs at the direction of the HR Solutions Administrative & Compensation Team Lead.
Qualifications We Require:
+ A High School Diploma, plus 3 years relevant experience in Human Resources or a related field; or equivalent experience and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job
+ The ability to acquire and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance
Qualifications We Desire:
+ An Associate's degree or a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, English, Psychology, Marketing/Sales, or a related field
+ Knowledge of HR concepts and terminology
+ Experience in Customer Service; a proven customer service orientation
+ The ability to manage multiple priorities, think tactically and strategically, demonstrate objectivity, be results oriented, and show initiative and creativity
+ Strong digital literacy and technical capabilities (e.g., Microsoft Office, Oracle Service Cloud, Peoplesoft, etc.)
+ The ability to be flexible, work well under pressure, and readily adapt to change
+ The ability to decode customer expectations, earn trust through results, influence/relate to others, and connect people through technology
+ Experience in a shared services environment
+ The demonstrated ability to team well and communicate effectively with others
+ Keen attention to detail
+ Familiarity with case management systems, in particularly Oracle Service Cloud
+ The ability to protect and keep personally identifiable information (PII) confidential
+ The ability to model behaviors that reflect Sandia's core values
+ An active DOE L-level security clearance; or other equivalent active security clearance such as DOD Secret

NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.
This Limited Term Employee (LTE) position is a temporary position for one year term, which may be renewed at Sandia's discretion up to a maximum of seven years.
Individuals in LTE positions may bid on regular Sandia positions as internal candidates, and in some cases may be converted to regular career positions during their term if warranted by ongoing operational needs, continuing availability of funds, and satisfactory job performance.

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
