What Your Job Will Be Like: We are seeking a Structural Services Facilities Team Lead to join our growing department! In this role, the selected applicant will supervise members of the workforce who construct, maintain, and repair utilities systems, buildings, equipment, and infrastructure. On any given day, you may be called on to: + Provide oversight to the Structural department in a team leader capacity within one of the 5 teams, Mechanical Utilities, Minor Modifications, Structural 1, Structural 2 or Grounds and Roads. + Coordinate and assign work that is planned for implementation and complete work in Maximo work control system. + Oversee the safety aspects of the structural department and lead the team on improvements and working through safety concerns and programs. + Coordinate employee recruitment, selection, training, work assignments, recognition, disciplinary actions, and contribute to performance assessments. + Analyze and assess system condition during outages and after hours; and coordinates and directs a response team to make the system operational. + Provide technical guidance and direction to craft for system operation and necessary repair. + Apply specialized knowledge and experience to independently judge work quality, performance, and alignment of results with customer expectations. Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite 100% of the time. Qualifications We Require: + Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or other relevant field plus 5 or more years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience (Associate’s in previous field + 9 years of exempt experience, or no degree + 13 years of exempt experience). + Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L Clearance. Qualifications We Desire: + Demonstrated technical knowledge in Facilities department roles. + Experience using Maximo. + Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and complete multiple programs and projects. + Knowledge of relevant Sandia policies and procedures. + Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. + Ability to interact effectively with all levels of customers, including building and managing effective working relationships. + Technical operational and repair knowledge of assigned systems. + Knowledge of emergency response and restoration of systems. + In-depth knowledge, interpretation, and application of all applicable National Building codes and standards. About Our Team: The Structural Services organization provides preventive and corrective maintenance on all administrative locks, painting, building structural systems, equipment and more. The department also provides excavation and emergency support to Sandia National Laboratories when requested by the Incident Commander. Within Structural Services our Minor Modifications team provides quick turnaround support for small customer projects.
