Job Description
Summary
The Dan L Duncan Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR) provides a learning environment at Baylor College of Medicine that integrates data from diverse domains including the electronic medical record, geospatial and social information, and next generation technologies to support research, development, and implementation of new approaches to patient care. The Cheng Lab at the ICTR is currently seeking a Research Technician I to work on bioinformatics and computational biology in cancer genomics and immunology.
Job Duties
- Prepares and conducts laboratory research experiments.
- Collects, compiles and analyzes data Conducts literature searches and summarizes information in an appropriate format for a particular study.
- Documents results of experiments. Selects, evaluates and applies techniques used in routine research.
- Orders laboratory supplies and equipment.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
- Processesand analyzesdata.
- Helps to write manuscripts.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education Required: Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- No experience required.
