What You Will Achieve
Working with a dynamic team of procurement experts, you will play an important role in negotiating contracts with suppliers for the procurement of goods, services and supplies. You will facilitate category management, purchase goods and services for ongoing operationsand manage corporate services.In this role you lead key strategiccross-functional and transformational strategic projects.
Your focus areaswill be to develop, manage and enhance supplier relationships,seek continuous improvement opportunities and ensure the appropriate management and development of the procurement capabilities. You will also act as a Subject Matter Expert for Procurement and provide guidance and leadership to colleagues.
As a Senior Manager, your advanced knowledge of the principles and concepts in the discipline and comprehensive knowledge of other disciplines will enable you to lead complex projects across the division. Your ability to develop and manage plans will facilitate in achieving objectives, interpreting internal and external business challenges and recommending best practices for improvements. While managing complex project environments, you will be able to anticipate and troubleshoot roadblocks and influence teams to achieve targets for the division.

How You Will Achieve It
Develop ideas and lead projects across subdivision and manage plans to achieve objectives.
Lead and manage cost estimate processes for high level scenario planning,asset level outsourcing cost analysis.
Lead regional and core markets’ strategic initiatives within Global Procurement.
Effectively execute sourcing and demand management practices, supplier relationship management, risk management, category management, contract negotiations with suppliers for the procurement of goods, services and supplies.
Support Pfizer's Diversity and Inclusion objectives as applicable to strategic category management within Procurement.
Provide contracts and outsourcing guidance to internal and external stakeholders and drive Procurement strategy as a subject matter expert.
Build strong relationships within a network of colleagues on all levels and ensure effective linkages with all stakeholders.
Develop, maintain and foster implementation of comprehensive, long range sourcing strategies and plans for assigned category spend areas.
Lead and/or support appropriate category trainings and programs to secure an alignment across the region and compliance with all Pfizer relevant policies and procedures.
In collaboration with the global teams, develop standardized reporting packs to be delivered to the Business Units and Finance Leads, including analysis ofopportunities to manage spend more effectively.
Execute the elements Pfizer's Supplier Management process in accordance with program guidelines.
Utilize Continuous Improvement to drive the resolution of issues and improve supplier performance.
Lead and/or participate in complex global strategic sourcing initiatives across categories.
Benchmark industry best practices in the assigned spend areas and lead the adoption within Pfizer.
Qualifications
Must-Have
Bachelor’s Degree
7+ years of experience in sourcing & procurement with deep category management process expertise (6+ years for MBA/MS)
Proficient in MS Office applications.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of procurement systems, processesand procedures.
Experience with problem solving complex situations.
Nice-to-Have
Master’s degree and relevant pharmaceutical experience.
Experiencedelivering against procurement savings goals.
Experience in facilitating cross-functional teams,
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
