What Your Job Will Be Like: Organization 5237, Post-Fab Supply Chain Management, is seeking a self-directed, team-oriented R&D Supply Chain (SC) Technologist with experience in procurement, supplier management, interpersonal, teaming, and leadership skills. Our team provides key supply chain support to MESA products, including procurement, supplier management and inbound/outbound logistics support. The supply chain team strives to identify and manage supply chain risk proactively, to ensure that Sandia achieves its mission to deliver quality, timely products to its customers in support of national defense. You will work with the SC team, Product Realization Teams (PRTs), laboratories, production planning and other Sandians as a key team member, providing the team with creation, execution, coordination and management of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, inventory management, and other SC activities. On any given day you may be called on to: + Understand and communicate supplier risk through proactive action, service/material availability, delivery and quality follow-up, sole source considerations, and highlight relevant concerns to help align to MESA priorities. + Manage and track key purchase requisition/order and P-card steps in support of production and lab priorities. + Develop and lead inventory reviews with supported labs, establish min inventory levels and reorder points, and be key ERP users to drive inventory efficiency and efficacy within MESA. + Support supplier performance to RPP Quality Management System (QMS) requirements. + Ensure creation of Discrepancy Resolution Forms (DRFs) and drive actions to closure. + Support supplier cost estimate and purchase requisition support to meet procurement needs. + Support Production Statement of Work (SOW) efforts to ensure alignment between projects and suppliers. *The Sandia job code title for this position is R&D General Technologist. The selected applicant can work a combination of onsite and offsite work. The selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary. Salary Range: $56,100 - $107,800 *Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential. Qualifications We Require: + Associate’s degree in relevant field or; + four (4) years of equivalent experience + Ability to acquire and maintain a DOE Q clearance Qualifications We Desire: + Associate’s degree in electronics, electronics technology or relative STEM field + Microelectronics and semiconductor production experience + Procurement and/or inventory management experience + Experience with quality programs and the associated processes used in Nuclear Deterrence + Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with implementing Sandia policies affecting research, design, development, and production activities, projects, or initiatives + Ability to work independently as well as, in a highly collaborative and multi-disciplinary team + Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the development and delivery of reports and documentation + Experience with high rigor production activities About Our Team: The Post Fab Technologies Group provides research, development, and production services for post fab technologies critical to ensuring the qualification and delivery of high reliability MESA products suitable for use in hostile environments. Position Information: This Limited Term Employee (LTE) position is a temporary position for one year term, which may be renewed at Sandia's discretion up to a maximum of seven years. Individuals in LTE positions may bid on regular Sandia positions as internal candidates, and in some cases may be converted to regular career positions during their term if warranted by ongoing operational needs, continuing availability of funds, and satisfactory job performance.
