Job Description

Faculty Position:  Director of Cytogenetics

 

The Department of Pathology at the Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Director of Cytogenetics.

 

Candidates must have either completed a fellowship with an emphasis in clinical cytogenetics; or have 4 years of training or experience, or both, in human medical genetics or pathology, two years of which have been in clinical cytogenetics. Experience in clinical cytogenetics and the ability to apply skills to the field of pathology. Applicants must be an MD and/or PhD board certified in Clinical Pathology, Anatomic/Clinical Pathology and/or Clinical Cytogenetics.  Must possess or be eligible for licensure in the State of Florida.

 

The successful candidate will have a track record of academic achievement through developmental or collaborative efforts with Cytogenetics scholarly publications.

The successful candidate will be actively involved in an opportunity to expand the Clinical Cytogenetics program and work collaboratively with faculty. In addition, candidates will have the opportunity to engage in collaborative or independent basic or applied genetics research.
