The Director, Global CMO Generative AI is responsible for leading the delivery of Generative AI products into marketing, sales and customer platforms– optimizing up the marketing process, enabling frictionless patient experiences, and exceeding HCP expectations. This role in the CMO organization represents Gen AI CMO goals, serves as the voice of the internal and external customer to digital partners, provides key insights into the overall strategy and drives the delivery of key business outcomes.

This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams and key roles within Biopharma, Digital, Legal and Compliance to ensure the Gen AI products meet customer needs and reflect the company values. The role also leads the influencing and engagement of key stakeholders across the business to ensure speedy delivery and uptake of the Gen AI products, ensuring business readiness during product launches and creating a culture of continuous improvement. 

Key Attributes of the Role

Understands priorities for commercial organization, set product vision and establish experience level OKRs. Consolidate and prioritize product roadmaps based on outcomes, business needs and technical demand. Leveraging the customer journey to identify, and prioritize opportunities to leverage AI in "Must Win Moment" experiences, aligned with the strategic vision of Biopharma. Capability Optimization: Outline a strategy to leverage currently available capabilities, enhancing the marketer and HCP experience and enhancing business outcomes. End-to-End Measurement: Track the product performance of Gen AI journey efforts against OKRs, defining measurement strategy across the entire marketing journey, focusing on the most strategic touchpoints.

  • Serve as Business Lead to define a customer focused vision to manage, develop, and drive adoption of Pfizer’s marketing Gen AI opportunities.  
  • Accountable to define an overall Gen AI marketing strategy and work with key Biopharma stakeholders to adopt this strategy across brands and countries.
  • Accountable for customer-centric optimization by continuously gathering insights and pain points from end-users (e.g. product marketers and HCPs) to create actionable improvements in partnership with Digital.
  • Partner with digital and business to inform internal and external customer needs and define OKRs that meet those needs and drive business objectives.
  • Develop business cases and optimize resource allocation across products (both existing and new).
  • Proactively identify business needs, draft business requirements, and articulate a roadmap, and ensure execution against roadmap via close coordination and project management with Digital Group Product Managers.
  • Manage relationships and engagement with platform / technology vendors to ensure Pfizer business requirements are addressed.
  • Explore external platform and technology landscape and evaluate potential new solutions against relevant business needs in collaboration with Digital; own “buy” decisions for new platforms / technology.
  • In collaboration with Digital, and commercial analytics define appropriate metrics and actively monitor Gen AI performance to understand gaps / opportunities and rapidly optimize capabilities and features.
  • Support evolution of key marketing workflows as needed when implementing platform changes, and support embedding of new processes in enterprise (e.g., supporting design of trainings for use of Gen AI), in conjunction with Global Marketing Excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders within the CMO organization and other organizations within Pfizer, including Digital, CMAO, Marketing & Analytics, CX and Brand Experience, Marketing Excellence, GTMx, Legal, Compliance and PX.
  • Responsible for monthly product councils and quarterly business review meetings to intake & prioritize outcomes, share strategic roadmaps with sponsors & stakeholders.

Basic qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of related experience in:
    • Being customer-obsessed, innovative, and results-oriented Business Lead
    • Product Management, Product Owner, Product Analyst, or other related product roles
    • Leading and understand agile ways of working and product development lifecycle.
    • Leading global web technology strategy for an innovative a multi-brand, global Fortune 500, Health, Pharma or regulated B2B and/or consumer org
    • Leveraging 1st and 3rd party data to improve site KPIs
    • Navigating consumer privacy and/or healthcare data landscape at scale
  • Deep understanding and passion for platform systems, technologies, and APIs incl. hands-on experience with using / developing web platforms and technologies (e.g., clinical decision support tools, HCP-facing disease management tools, etc.) and HCP/Patient-facing websites
  • Experience evaluating product decisions strategically and making prioritization trade-offs, leveraging large datasets to make data-driven product decisions, while collaborating with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and mastery of working in a matrixed environment
  • Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to execute with speed and high quality
  • Demonstrated business acumen, strong analytical skills and strategic mindset
  • Track record of strong networking and working collaboratively across functions and geographies

Preferred qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university is helpful and preferred in one of the following or related fields: Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science, Economics, Statistics, Math, Physics, Computer Science or Data Science or Business (MBA)
  • Prior experience as platforms and technology product manager / business lead in pharma or in a high-growth startup
  • Any US location preferred for this role - international locations also considered, with flexibility to work with US time-zone on regular basis

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $149,200.00 to $248,600.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
