This position is for an Inventory Management Technician and is responsible for supporting inventory management (IM) within the Andover Liquid Dose Manufacturing Facility (AN-LDM).

This individual will be involved in overseeing AN-LDM’s GMP inventory system. This role will be required to follow GMP standards, and for assuring compliance with Pfizer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) along with all applicable regulation guidelines.

What You Will Achieve

Working with a dynamic team of Logistics and Supply Chain experts, you will play a critical role in the movement of materials and finished goods within the plant, office or warehouse. As a materials handling expert, you will be entrusted with receiving, storage, inventory control, internal distribution, and shipping, in compliance with corporate standards. To enable you to accomplish this task, you will make use of a variety of equipment, such as forklifts, conveyers, cranes, hand carts, and power trucks.

As part of technical operations, you will be a team member who is relied to have a good understanding of procedures, techniques, tools, materials and equipment. Your decision making will help you prioritize workflows based on the available resources. You will follow standard procedures to complete tasks, some of which may vary in scope, sequence, complexity and timing. You will contribute to the team’s success by sharing your knowledge from previous experiences.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Responsible for managing inventory within the AN-LDM storage area include staging components for GMP production, routine cycle counts, picking/replenishment of materials, cleaning of storage area, expired material destruction.

  • Complete GMP receipt into Current Approved Inventory Systems (CAIS) on incoming materials, to include but not limited to Raw Materials, Critical Processing Aides/Consumables, Packaging Components and potentially Drug Substance

  • Performing electronic and physical inventory transactions for all materials (picking, put-away, stock checks and rotations, discarding and segregation of materials, prepping materials for shipment, consumption, etc.)

  • Strick adherence to quality, GMP, safety and environmental standard is required.

  • Ability to follow and understand applicable SOPs/procedures in relation to activities being complete.

  • Demonstrates sound understanding and knowledge of IM practices/concepts and working knowledge of principles, practices, concepts and operations within other partner disciplines.

  • Proven ability to multitask, effectively manage time, and escalate issues immediately.

  • Ability to exhibit flexibility when schedule changes.

  • Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives throughout IM.

  • Display and influence appropriate behaviors and adhere to Pfizer standards and values.

Qualifications

Must Have's

  • High School Diploma with minimum 2 years Pharma experience and/or associate’s/bachelor’s degree in relevant area with 0 years of experience

  • Strong attention to detail, along with excellent oral/written communication and collaboration skills

  • Familiarity with GMP warehouse procedures and working in a cGMP environment.

  • Experience working in a regulated work environment.

  • Experience working with computers including utilizing databases, email, software, spreadsheets, word processing, search engines, etc.

  • Must be responsible/dependable and have ability to manage own time independently.

  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills, to include good behaviors.

Nice to Have

  • 3+ years in regulated pharmaceutical industry.

  • AS/BS in Science, Business Admin, Supply Chain

  • Ability to work on and balance multiple projects at one time.

  • Experience working within the Pharma Industry and/or GMP material management.

  • Advanced electronic and computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.


 

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Must have collaborative skills and effective partnering skills in complex working environments.

  • Must be abie to work in a dynamic multi-discipline organizational model

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time

  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast, priority environment

  • Must be able to physically move materials (i.e. drums, boxes, modules, etc)

  • Must be able to perform mathematical calculations and data analysis

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Position will require 40 hours a week.

  • Overtime is based on business needs.

  • Must be able to work during business hours of 7:00am-4:00pm

  • Minimal travel required

  • Ability to gown to enter non-aseptic and aseptic areas of the LDM.

The salary for this position ranges from $20.94 to $34.90 per hour. In addition, this position offers eligibility for overtime, weekend, holiday and other pay premiums depending on the work schedule and the Company’s policies.
