ROLE SUMMARY

A Director of US Market Access (USMA) Market Access Strategy & Analytics (MASA) Data, Tools & Reporting (DTR) team leads the management of strategic market access data assets, cross-portfolio market access goal and investment planning, and post-deal analysis with delivery to senior Pfizer leadership.

This specific role leads the day-to-day management of USMA’s responsibilities in implementing and managing a market access data hub and pre/post deal analysis technology platform that elevates and streamlines USMA’s analytic capabilities. With expert project management, business analysis, communications skills along with strong pharmaceutical market access business acumen, this person will translate the vision and strategic priorities of the program’s Steering Committee (largely representing the MASA Leadership Team) into the delivery of this capability. This role coordinates the contributions of business-focused subject matter experts and partners with Pfizer Digital colleagues to manage a two-year implementation program and lead the ongoing management and enhancement of the new capability – all of which enables MASA to streamline highly complex analytic and reporting processes in order to optimize $100+ million-dollar market access contracting decisions and scale to deliver future business needs.

These responsibilities have direct and material impact on our market access strategy development and contract decision-making – impacting ~$2B in cost concessions/market access investments across Pfizer’s portfolio – and requires advanced understanding of the US payer market and in-depth experience with analytic processes and associated data that drive market access decision-making.
 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working closely with key stakeholders/Steering Committee leaders to align on highest priorities and implementation timelines, making informed priority tradeoffs based on related effort, resources and budgets

  • Coordinating the prioritization of business requirements based on real-time business needs and use cases

  • Developing and tracking project timelines and managing dependencies to achieve value-driven milestones; driving for rapid development and deployment of highest value and innovative deliverables

  • Developing and executing a plan to continuously measure the business value and impact of this capability

  • Ensuring that insights on the business use of this new capabilities are diligently captured and factored into future project/enhancement plans

  • Planning and delivering stakeholder-specific communication regarding the implementation project or ongoing management of the capability

  • Ensuring external partners are clear on our business priorities and accountable for agreed services

  • Coordinating, developing and delivering business training associated with the market access data hub and pre/post deal analytics platforms

  • Coordinating with Pfizer Digital, DTR Tool/Dashboard lead and DTR data strategy lead to develop and execute plans for data integrity and validation

  • Coordinating and leading business user testing

  • Managing annual budget planning and tracking.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Arts degree required

  • 10+ years of pharma or healthcare consulting experience

  • Excellent project management, consulting and communication skills (written and verbal), of delivering insights and recommendations to senior leaders (VP level and above)

  • Experience and track record of influencing without authority.

  • Experience successfully managing/delivering large projects spanning multiple stakeholders in a matrixed environment

  • Solid understanding of managed markets and market access data (e.g., IQVIA/Symphony, MMIT, internal claims data, payer portal data)

  • Ability to identify and communicate strategic insights while maintaining strict attention to detail

  • Highly skilled in Excel and PowerPoint

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or Master’s level education

  • Experience delivering new/innovative processes and supporting technologies to large teams.

  • Experience with other technologies that support report development and data querying.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel domestically, depending on business need

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $161,600.00 to $269,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
