Job Description

Responsibilities*
Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Writing and editing programs to clean, manage, merge, and analyze data
Participating in meetings with researchers to define research questions, discuss methodology, and present results
Perform appropriate analyses on administrative claims data
Participate as a co-author in the preparation of medical manuscripts, including writing and editing statistical methods, results, tables, listings, and figures
Support presentations by divisional faculty, fellows, and residents by providing appropriate analyses and visual representation of the data and results, editing language, and providing feedback on style
Develop research trial designs, including performing power analyses and/or simulations and writing statistical sections of research protocols
Provide design and analytic guidance to departmental faculty, fellows, and residents
Required Qualifications*
Master's degree in biostatistics, statistics, or the equivalent
Knowledge of medical claims data and/or the medical research field preferred
Skills in using statistical analysis software, such as SAS, R, and/or Stata
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to work independently
Ability to manage multiple projects
