The Manager, Planning & Design Services will support planning efforts in support of the campus master plan and off-campus facilities. A process expert in the facilities area, this position operates as a resource for activities involving space design, equipment, code requirements, and other conditions. Responsible for planning and design and improvement projects in excess of $15,000,000 annually.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Provide leadership and managerial skills necessary to effectively direct conceptual planning and design initiatives for the institution.
  • Organize and lead multidisciplinary teams consisting of users, managers, technical staff, and consultants.
  • Oversee space planning standards, selection, and implementation.
  • Prepare and lead presentations.
  • Perform data analysis around space and occupancy utilization.

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Space Planning, Environmental Design, or related field. Similar experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
  • 5-10 years substantial directly related experience in planning and design in a healthcare, research and/or academic setting.
  • 5 years management experience
  • Space Planning, interior design and/or architecture course work or training

Salary range $127,337- $212,677

Pay Rate: $61.23 - $102.25 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
