What Your Job Will Be Like:
Organization 03530, Compensation, is currently seeking a highly motivated, hardworking, and experienced Compensation Analyst to join their dynamic team of compensation professionals!
03530 implements and administers compensation policies, procedures, practices, and programs for Sandia National Laboratories. The selected candidate will provide guidance to management and human resources partners regarding compensation programs, actions, and issues. Successful candidates will have strong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communications skills.
On any given day, one may be called upon to:
+ Lead Enterprise-wide compensation projects and initiatives
+ Complete complex data analysis, modeling, and costing
+ Review compensation job structures, market positioning, and market-based structures
+ Develop compensation solutions to help internal partners more easily attract, retain, and hire critical talent
The selected applicant can be a remote worker located in any U.S. State or District of Columbia. Regular or periodic travel to your assigned work location may be required.
Qualifications We Require:
+ A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, plus 5 years directly related experience; or equivalent experience and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job
+ Experience with compensation data analysis
+ Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide compensation projects and initiatives
+ Compensation experience related to compensation theories, principles, and practices
+ The ability to acquire and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance
Qualifications We Desire:
+ A Master’s degree in a relevant field
+ 8 or more years directly related compensation experience
+ Experience with market-based compensation systems
+ A World at Work Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
+ The ability to think critically, focus on solutions, work in teams or independently, and handle sensitive and confidential information
+ Strong Project Management skills and experiences
+ Excellent consulting and customer management skills
+ The ability to lead projects and programs in a highly matrixed organization
About Our Team:
The Compensation Department provides comprehensive support to the SNL management team in the areas of employee pay programs and policies (both base and non-base), performance recognition programs, and job evaluations. Department activities involve interactions with all areas, classifications, and levels of the Laboratory. Compensation has a direct line of sight impact on Sandia's ability to achieve its goals and objectives as a key element of Sandia's total rewards concept.
Posting Duration:

Security Clearance:
Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants for employment need to be able to obtain and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. If you hold more than one citizenship (i.e., of the U.S. and another country), your ability to obtain a security clearance may be impacted.

NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.
Position Information:
This Limited Term Employee (LTE) position is a temporary position for one year term, which may be renewed at Sandia's discretion up to a maximum of seven years.
Individuals in LTE positions may bid on regular Sandia positions as internal candidates, and in some cases may be converted to regular career positions during their term if warranted by ongoing operational needs, continuing availability of funds, and satisfactory job performance.
Salary Range:
$78,000 - $176,900
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
