What Your Job Will Be Like: Construction Services - Subcontract & Construction Operations team is seeking a proactive and collaborative Facilities Technologist to partner across several functional areas within Sandia and the vendor community to support the execution of construction and maintenance activities. On any given day, you may be called on to: + Partner with project managers, construction managers, and technical assistants to assist in resolving contracting issues with the vendor community. + Enter work order information, supporting documentation, and close-out information into Sandia’s construction management systems (e.g., Maximo, NewForma, Oracle, Shared drives, etc.). + Notify other Facilities teams of planned construction and services activities and coordinate any scheduling conflicts with those teams and the team members. + Engage with business and procurement professionals to develop executable work processes that meet their needs while ensuring that construction and service orders are implemented successfully. + Support multiple customers and staff members concurrently through project and service execution. + Assess completeness of supplier submittals (e.g., invoices, certifications, reports, etc.) for successful contract close-outs. + Lead contract close-out efforts for a high volume of construction contracts per Sandia’s requirements. + Contribute to Sandia’s success through accurately communicating issues and solutions within work function and act as a conduit for information sharing across several functional areas. + Evaluate processes to improve effectiveness and results. + Participate in regular construction or service order status meetings. + Attend site visits before, during, and after construction activities to observe activities and compare field observations with documented activities in work order systems. Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite 100% of the time. Qualifications We Require: + High school diploma or equivalent. + Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DOE L-level security clearance. Qualifications We Desire: + Construction, facilities, and/or maintenance support experience. + Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and a facilities maintenance/management software (e.g., Maximo). + OSHA-30-hour training and knowledge of International Building Codes. + Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. + Demonstrated willingness to challenge an individual’s position in a collaborative way. + Self-motivated individual that can work both independently as well as have demonstrated the ability to work in a close-knit team environment. About Our Team: The Construction Service Team provides an agile option to performing construction work at Sandia. We provide core construction capabilities to include planning/scheduling general construction, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing capabilities. In addition, the team is responsible for anticipating and providing the necessary subcontracted and outsourced products and services that enable success of Sandia’s in-house Construction Services operation. The department provides oversight, delegated contract responsibilities, and work acceptance support for construction projects and services touching thousands on projects per year. Salary Range: $50,100-$94,700 *Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
