Manager, Asset Equipment (City of Hope National Medical Center; Duarte, CA): Lead and manage the development and roll-out of medical asset management strategy, policy, and procedures for the City of Hope Enterprise. Lead the effort in technology solution assessment and recommendation to support processes, drive executive approval for solution implementation, and lead implementation as a supply chain owner. Manage process of creating a harmonized system of record, including a common asset identifier with a view towards maintaining a complete listing of equipment information across departments. Support the capital governance committee in consistently maintaining and monitoring City of Hope’s equipment needs through robust tracking of asset life cycle and usage. Manage the integrity of the equipment register through processes and procedures created to accurately track capital equipment across City of Hope. Identify and manage implementation of processes for formal physical safeguarding controls and tracking of asset equipment inventory within warehouse facilities. Oversee development of analytical methods to analyze the total cost of ownership of equipment, and advise senior management on effective investments (strategic supplier selection, analyzing purchase or lease costs, maintenance and repair costs, and warranty costs). Manage creation and tracking of performance metrics across City of Hope entities to ensure effective and efficient management of movable assets. Collaborate with Design, Construction, and Facilities departments to support medical asset acquisition and management interests during new facilities construction and activation stages. Train equipment custodians on their roles and responsibilities, and partner with them to monitor movement of assets across the company. Be a subject matter expert (SME) on equipment control inquiries made by internal and external auditors. Lead and coordinate biannual full physical inventory reconciliation of equipment to ensure 100% verification. Research and propose effective methods for sunsetting retired equipment.

Supply Chain Management, or related field, plus five (5) years of experience as a Supply Chain Analyst or related occupation.

Alternate Education and Experience: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field, plus three (3) years of experience as a Supply Chain Analyst or related occupation.

Must have experience with the following: supply chain management of a healthcare system: network of acute care and ambulatory and community clinics; leading and managing medical asset or medical inventory acquisition and life cycle management processes, operational excellence, supply chain management, and inventory management within healthcare; leading and driving development of supply chain related policies within healthcare; leading technology solution discoveries and selection processes; leading and managing supplier selection processes within healthcare; implementing supply chain related technology solutions: asset management solution and Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) system; leading project management involving cross-functional teams within a healthcare system; conducting data analysis and translating relevant data into information to facilitate business decision-making at an executive level; and one (1) year of supervisory experience.

Salary: $147,784 – $151,394 per year
