Job Description

The Intern will assist senior leadership, with a focus of supporting operational projects and key initiatives as identified by senior leadership. The internship will be comprised of project and mentor-based learning and will be an integral part of the operations leadership team.

Educational Requirements

  • Recent Bachelor's degree graduate or currently enrolled in a Master's degree program.

Minimum Skills/Specialized Training Required

  • Proficient with computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
  • Detail oriented with ability to multi-task and meet established deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to interact within a professional environment
  • Strong organization and time management skills

An overview of the role:

  • Business Projects: Provide project support for key initiatives.
  • An Intern is an individual completing entry-level work for Moffitt Cancer Center to gain experience in their field:
    • Intern job duties vary by department, but their common responsibilities include learning and becoming proficient in the specific field of their internship, completing tasks assigned by their supervisor and attending meetings.
  • Understands the overall concept of Moffitt Cancer Center, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service.
  • Engages in various work assignments, projects, and activities of varying complexity, structured to enable the intern to gain the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform at a professional level.
    • Receives training and mentorship in planning and carrying out activities and assignments.
