As a Social Worker II at City of Hope, you'll play a crucial role in providing timely and compassionate social work services to patients and their families. Utilizing your expertise in crisis management and psychosocial support, you'll navigate patients through various stages of their healthcare journey, from diagnosis to survivorship. Your strong communication skills and commitment to quality care will ensure compliance with professional and institutional standards.

Your qualifications should include:

Minimum Education:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE- Accredited School of Social Work

Minimum Experience:

  • Two years medical social work
  • One-year oncology social work (Preferred).

Req. Certification/Licensure:

  • Out of state Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Active registration as anAssociate Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
  • CSW II must pass the LCSW exam and become a LCSW in the state ofCalifornia within one year or be demoted to CSW I
  • For pediatric service, CCS Panel provider or complete application within 60 days of hire

Preferred Courses/Training:

  • Oncology, palliative, and end-of-life

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $41.92 - $64.97 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
