ROLE SUMMARY

The PGS Digital Business Manager will be responsible for delivering strategic initiatives, support and drive projects that will accelerate the digitization of the Zaventem site.

Digital transformation requires business and technical acumen, with demonstrated project and change management experience to partner with site stakeholders to understand Logistics business requirements and to influence the Digital Solution Centers to develop and deliver solutions that accelerate the digitization and automation of business processes. 

The PGS Digital Business Manager will be responsible for advancing the digital maturity of the site, continuously engaging with the site business to identify opportunities for digitization and automation of Logistics business processes through existing, emerging, and new technologies that can scaled and leveraged across the PGS Logistics Network.

He/she will collaborate with the PGS Digital Plant Network Lead to manage the site PGS Digital portfolio and ensure programs are delivered to meet or exceed site goals.  He/she will guide the business in delivering these digitization solutions to meet business needs through leveraging core and/or standard solutions from across the network.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive and manage strategic digitization projects and cross functional teams accelerating the digital transformation of the site.  The deployment of new and emerging global solutions through the Digital Solution Centers, Digital teams and Business SMEs as required.
  • Collaborate and influence the Digital Solution Areas (PGS Digital, ERP, EP&S, GIS, etc.) in shaping solutions within the current and future systems portfolio to improve business processes.
  • Coordinate with Digital Solution Areas (PGS Digital, ERP, EP&S, DXC, PX, Finance etc.) to identify and propose system, process and/or data/configuration changes to increase business and systems operational efficiency.
  • Support the PGS Digital in building strong partnerships with key stakeholders that increases the understanding of business needs and works towards maximizing the value of our Digital investments at the site.
  • Support the PGS Digital in the on-going management of the business systems, Plan of Record (POR) and systems/service portfolio. Support communication requirements from Digital to stakeholders and wider site.
  • Point of contact for escalations linked to site Digital support, such as but not limited to; Cell phone management, On-and Offboarding, etc.
  • Partner with site business clients to understand and analyze business process requirements and identify appropriate solutions.
  • Engage with the Logistic Centers to identify and define scope for continuous improvement, innovative, escalation processes, best practice initiatives and assist or lead those initiatives to improve the efficiency of processes and systems (In scope sites Zaventem, Panama, Singapore) 
  • Interact with our external warehouse partners (Essers, UPS K&N) to drive implementation of network improvement and security solutions. Asist in solutioning complex issues. Coordination with Global Command Center (GCC) and third-party warehouse.
  • In partnership with the PGS Digital Plant Network Lead, act as the Digital Point of Contact at the site providing site knowledge and insight to Digital Solution Area teams during solution deployments and providing feedback and site updates that may be relevant or of interest to the Digital Site Community.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science or Engineering required. Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in information technology and business system development or delivery with experience leading projects and project teams within the pharmaceutical Logistics or fine chemical industry. Experience with the implementation/usage of or SAP ERP preferred, logistics experience an advantage.
  • Demonstrated capability to communicate effectively with leaders and business stakeholders; embracing diversity; manage stakeholder expectations and build business partnerships to deliver results.
  • Additional competencies include business systems subject knowledge pertinent to Logistics process and PGS Digital systems knowledge; business acumen; experience with Lean/Operational Excellence tools and driving process efficiencies; ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Functional/Technical Knowledge:  Applies strong information technology, project management skills and Logistics pharmaceutical specific expertise to the role. Demonstrated skills in leading, planning, and developing successful business systems projects.  Good knowledge of SAP, and Quality Management solutions deployed at the site.

Knowledge and expertise with the following disciplines desired:

  • Project Management methodologies (i.e., Certified PMP, PRINCE2 and/or Agile Scrum Master)
  • ERP SAP, Logistics, and Integration development and/or delivery.
  • Knowledgeable in Software Development Life Cycle methodologies within GMP environment.
  • Continuous Improvement methodologies (i.e., Six Sigma certified)
  • GMP, Data Integrity and associated regulatory requirements.
  • WAN, LAN, networking, and general communications principles
  • Website creation and maintenance, PowerApps

NON-STANDARD REQUIREMENTS

This role may support multiple sites including remote collaboration and support of other PGS sites.  There will be occasional travel requirements to visit the other sites in the order of two to four times a year.  Additional travel may be required for team face to face meetings or in support of global initiatives.
