Job Summary:

Responsible to manage important strategic or operational projects across different functions assigned by China President Office. These projects include business analytics, key strategic initiative planning, business planning, and operational plan design and execution tracking. The direct responsibilities in these projects include conducting research, collecting data, conducting analysis, generating insights, and preparing slides deck. It also includes following up and tracking the key actions raised during key business reviews and management meetings.

Beyond independent project management role, the jobholder will play supporting roles in some corporate key projects led by DBO directly. such as budget planning, resource planning and organizing China visits for global leaders

Beyond project management role, the jobholder will lead the coordination of the Innovative Project Approval Committee, which is critical to accelerate approvals of innovative yet complicate projects proposed by business and key functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead key cross-function projects assigned by China President Office. Coordinate the functions involved to plan, execute and track these projects, and prepare report back to China Leadership Team
  • Lead the yearly brand planning process, including template preparation, plan development, driving progress and track the follow-up actions
  • Lead the IPAC (innovation project approval committee) process and improve the process to further accelerate innovation project approvals
  • Lead in-depth analysis on key businesses assigned by China President office, together with other relevant functions and BU to generate key insights and suggestions
  • Lead the monthly performance review process, including performing initial diagnosis on key opportunities and risks, providing recommendations on deep-dives, working on BUs on deep-dives and tracking the action plans
  • Coordinate the resource reallocation and planning excise with both HQ and China teams
  • Support yearly budget process, including analysis and slides preparation
  • Support other key tasks for China President Office, such as global visit materials preparations, tracking of key follow up actions, and other ad-hoc requests
  • Support China strategy planning, especially China 2030 strategy and future executions
  • Build and keep a close tie with business teams and senior field team leaders to collect feedback and help to address their needs in a timely manner

Education and Experience:

  • BS/BA in Business Management or similar fields, MBA is perfectible.
  • 10+ years’ experience in Strategy, Project Management, Business Analytics, and Marketing. Consulting firm experience is high preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across cultures and the agility to deliver results quickly in new and unfamiliar situations.
  • Proven track record of business experiences and know-hows for growth and mature brands
  • Good understanding of China pharmaceutical industry and market dynamic.
  • Global view and mindset. Very fluent English communication in both written and oral.

  • Communication and Impact – Excellent presentation and some influencing skill and ability to interact with executives internally and externally. Ability to use influencing skills to make impact to get China business proposals endorsed by global
