JOB SUMMARY

Accountable for partnering with Chief Clinical Officer to develop and provide strategic, administrative leadership to support the clinical strategies of City of Hope Phoenix and its affiliates. The Sr. Manager, Physician Services will also oversee and administer administrative components of programs, strategies, and initiatives designed to drive performance of the medical staff.

Position Summary:

The Chief Clinical Officer for Arizona is responsible for developing, driving, and implementing the strategy to grow COH Arizona into the premier academic cancer practice in the State of Arizona. Reporting to the Chief Clinical Officer, the Sr. Manager will help design, support and drive the development of strategies, develop the business case for service lines and new opportunities, assist with the evolution of the organizational structure, work with enterprise colleagues on institutional alignment and enterprise priorities. This position also provides executive level support, thought partnership and consultation to the Chief Clinical Officer. In addition, he or she defines and frames complex issues and recommends/develops schedules and/or processes for decision-making.

The Sr. Manager organizes, implements and maintains accountability for performance on special project assignments, with a focus on translating needs, issues and ideas into action plans. The role also researches key market trends, business issues, directs the collecting and analyzing of quantitative and qualitative data then synthesizes analyses to identify key findings. The Sr. Manager is responsible for developing strategies and plans to address key findings and is responsible for presenting the conclusions at a senior level such that the final product can be executed and reported as necessary to key audiences.

The individual will need a strong bias for action, have the experience and proven track record executing in a matrixed environment with high emotional intelligence and analytical skills. The Sr. Manager anticipates needs, demands, and works to provide and implement thoughtful, innovative and sound solutions. The Sr. Manager is expected to demonstrate a versatile and adaptable skill set and must be able to shift easily to new assignments, to learn new skills, build new professional relationships, and navigate new environments. This position and assignments require execution, considerable judgment, tact and initiative to advance work product. In addition, this individual requires a hands-on, self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-moving, dynamic environment within a complex and evolving industry.

The Sr. Manager, Physician Services is also accountable for providing leadership and oversight of medical staff office and all its related functions. Manages, coordinates, and oversees all administrative aspects of the Professional Group of Arizona (PGA) operations. This include optimizing all administrative aspects of the medical provider employment cycle to include recruitment, credentialing, onboarding, HRIS management, time off management, payroll, medical staff meeting management, physician support, off boarding and other areas as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:10+ years relevant work experience

5+ years. Experience working in an Academic Medical, Hospital System, Clinical Research, Pharmaceutical or Research organization.

Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems,

-or-

10+ years prior experience with C-level executives, hospital operations, strategy, project management and/or related experience; 5+ years of experience leading teams to execute enterprise initiatives

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business management, Public Health or equivalent work experience.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $48.61 - $80.03 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
