The Senior FD&C Safety Program Manager oversees the construction safety program for Duarte Campus and other California locations as assigned. The Senior Program Manager works cooperatively with all levels of management across COH Enterprise to ensure compliance with all external regulations, best practices, and internal policies. Including but not limited to compliance with CAL/OSHA regulations, Joint Commission Environment of Care standards, and other regulatory mandates. Works with the Chief Safety Officer and Occupational Safety & Health Manager in assuring a safe and healthful environment for employees, patients, contractors, vendors, and visitors within the City of Hope enterprise across all facilities.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Manage activities related to general safety goals and objectives of Facilities, Design and Construction for promoting safety.
  • Visit all construction sites on a regular basis and meet with vendor/contractor safety officer. Ensuring all ICRA and PICRA forms are up to date and posted.
  • Manage compliance with CAL/OSHA regulations, Joint Commission Environment of Care standards, and other regulatory mandates.
  • Implement, update and deliver safety training programs. Develop and participates in safety education programs for new employees and staff. Prepare continuing education for staff annually.
  • Lead accident investigations with the objective of preventing recurrence (root cause analysis preparation and briefs to leadership). Analyze accident records to detect trends and recommend corrective actions.
  • Manage the Injury Reporting, Investigation, Trending, and Preventative Action program for COH.

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field.
  • Nine years in construction safety /or related field
  • Substantial experience providing safety training
  • Management experience required, preferably in a healthcare and/or research setting.
  • Program management experience

Job Status: Full time, exempt

Salary range $113,818- $182,104

Pay Rate: $54.72 - $87.55 / hour
