This position plays a key support role by providing accurate and timely financial information, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, and partnering with operations to improve key financial insights. This role will also require a strong accounting background, as this person will be responsible for the integrity of various financial statement components through proper recording and validation of transactions. This associate will maintain and report on this related data in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Aside from liaising with associates on the Corporate Accounting team, this person will need to work closely with various operational teams to ensure that expenses are properly recorded, and year-to-go projections are aligned upon against year-end targets. By understanding current and projected spend, this person will be better equipped in understanding upcoming key entries in closing the ledger. Ensuring that a cadence of recurring meetings with departments heads are occurring will also help the person in this role in managing the monthly accrual process, which will be a crucial area in ensuring that expenses are posted to the proper period.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Reconcile and analyze select general ledger accounts, ensuring reconciliations are occurring on a consistent and timely basis where applicable.
  • Assists with auditors and provides necessary information regarding accounting procedures and data.
  • Proactive identification and analysis of business issues and opportunities, including recommendations for future actions.
  • Perform review of financial statements, which will require an in-depth month-end review with key stakeholders to ensure transactions are properly recorded.
  • Support manager in preparation of month-end financial statements.
  • Work with manager in preparing results of month-end reporting for senior leadership through the creation of insightful presentations.
  • Coordinate multiple deliverables and act as an ambassador across teams to ensure accuracy of financial statements
  • Present efficiency recommendations to manager as it pertains to recurring month-end processes (i.e. reduce manual journal entries, develop month-end checklist of key close processes, recommend standardizations where applicable).
  • Performs the analysis and interpretation of financial data, which will include partnering with Finance at times to assist in various reporting requirements.

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting and/or finance experience.
  • Completion (or progress towards completion) of CPA, preferred.
  • Health Care industry, preferred.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $41.92 - $64.97 / hour
