Nurse Manager - Inpatient Services

**This position is eligible for a $15,000 Sign-On Bonus**

The Nurse Manager, a Registered Nurse, ensures personalized, comprehensive care for patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Intermediate Care Unit, and Medical-Surgical Units. This role entails 24-hour accountability, direct supervision of staff, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include strategy development, process improvement, regulatory compliance, and enhancing patient and staff satisfaction.

The successful candidate:

  • Care Delivery & Supervision:

    • Ensure personalized care in ICU, Intermediate Care, and Medical-Surgical Units.

    • Maintain 24-hour accountability for patient care and staff management.

    • Supervise licensed and unlicensed staff, including discharge planning and Utilization Review/Management teams.

    • Schedule and monitor assignments, ensuring adequate staffing levels.

    • Provide direct patient care when needed.

  • Coordination & Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the physician director, physicians, nurses, and integrated team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.

    • Act as a clinical resource for staff and related disciplines in oncology patient care.

    • Coordinate with other departments for effective daily management of inpatient units.

  • Strategy & Process Improvement:

    • Develop and implement strategies to meet standards and requirements of internal and external agencies.

    • Create and improve department work processes to enhance efficiency, foster cooperation, and increase patient and staff satisfaction.

    • Actively participate in continuing education programs and management training.

  • Performance Management:

    • Address performance and behavior issues promptly.

    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to regulatory standards and Oncology Nursing Society practices.

    • Analyze workload and skill requirements to meet care needs.

    • Provide counseling, training, and performance evaluations for staff.

  • Patient & Staff Satisfaction:

    • Monitor and improve satisfaction within each department.

    • Respond to patient loyalty survey concerns and provide follow-up information.

    • Act as a patient advocate and coordinate care with other healthcare personnel.

  • Regulatory Compliance & Cost Management:

    • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

    • Manage costs while ensuring quality care.

    • Assist the Director in establishing and maintaining the budgetary process.

  • Administrative Duties:

    • Establish patient care priorities based on essential needs and available resources.

    • Document pertinent unit activity statistics.

    • Represent staff and facility interests to administration.

    • Participate in committees to support departmental goals.

    • Demonstrate flexibility and adjust schedules as necessary.

  • Safety & Integrity:

    • Comply with safety, environmental, and infection control guidelines.

    • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the workplace Code of Conduct and Compliance Plan.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing program required

  • Experience: 1-3 years previous management experience, 1 year Critical care

  • Required Courses/Training: ACLS, BLS, Tablo training (must obtain within 120 days of hiring)

  • Req. Certification/Licensure: Active GA RN license; ONS Chemotherapy Certification (must obtain within 90 days of hiring)

  • Preferred Education: Master’s or above

  • Preferred Courses/Training: HSCT/CAR-T

  • Pref. Certification/Licensure: CCRN, Med surg, OCN

  • Preferred Experience: Greater than 1 year ICU, IMCU, oncology experience a plus

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $42.24 - $69.54 / hour
