THIS IS AN ONSITE POSITION, M-F

The Clinical Informatics Analyst provides expertise and support in the education, development, and enhancement of the electronic health record (EHR) related to clinical practice and documentation regulations of the legal medical record. Specific skills include the development and deployment of pertinent role-based training to end users, coaching and thought leadership to ensure that end users (including physicians, nurses, and staff members) can effectively use the technology and processes established. Knowledge of the legal medical record and documentation requirements for coding and billing support is a necessary foundation for success in this position. Successful fulfillment of the role demonstrates commitment to achieve goals and deliverables through leadership and relationship building at across the organization, to improve patient care through the use of the EHR.

Job Qualifications

  • Must be licensed clinical user, registered nurse preferred.
  • BS/BA in preferred.
  • 3 + years hospital or clinical area experience.
  • 1-2 years electronic health care implementation expertise.
  • 1-2 years clinical informatics experience is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Effective written, oral, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Needs to have a solid understanding of appropriate clinical workflows, ability to map clinical workflow to clinical application system functionality.
  • Ability to provide education to Adult learners in a manner that is appropriate and targeted to the learners needs.
  • Strong customer service orientation.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $36.71 - $60.46 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
