What Your Job Will Be Like:
Are you passionate about people and customer service? If so, Organization 03521, HR Solutions - Customer Service & Talent Acquisition, is currently seeking a highly motivated HR Generalist to join the organization to help Human Resources ensure accurate, timely, and excellent service. The selected candidate will provide support to all Sandia employees, candidates, and retirees in their moments that matter.
This role will provide front-line customer service via phone and case management systems. This work is performed in a large volume, fast-paced environment and must be done with exceptional customer service and accuracy.
This position reports directly to the HR Operations Manager.
On any given day, one may be called upon to:
- Respond to phone, online, and chat inquiries from employees and managers at all levels
- Resolve questions and issues by accessing information in multiple computer systems (e.g., Oracle Service Cloud, PeopleSoft, ProMapp, and MS Word)
- Work independently to process transactions in support of HR functions by collecting required information/documentation and additional information as needed from employees, managers, and/or others in HR, performing data entry, sending documents and correspondence, filing, and performing other administrative tasks
- Assist customers navigating internal resources on self-service and HR technology tools
- Set priorities independently for completing work and manage time to meet target dates and objectives
- Assist and train team members
- Actively participate in and facilitate continuous improvement efforts
- Perform quality reviews
Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.
Operational hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Thursday and 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Fridays. Schedules will support operational needs at the direction of the HR Operations Manager.
Salary Range:
$39,900 - $72,300
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require:
- A High School diploma; or equivalent experience and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job
- 3 years’ related experience in a Human Resources or customer service-related role
- Knowledge and experience in at least one of the following:
- Experience in gathering, analyzing, or interpreting information
- Technical knowledge (e.g., using a computer to view, upload, and enter data)
- The ability to acquire and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance
Qualifications We Desire:
- An Associate's degree or a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, English, Psychology, Marketing/Sales, or a related field
- A positive demeanor, strong communication skills, and keen attention to detail with the demonstrated ability to team well and communicate effectively with others
- The demonstrated ability to work independently while ensuring work is completed on-time and accurately
- Experience completing quality reviews and/or audits
- Experience in a shared service environment, verifying employee records, and HRIS systems; PeopleSoft/HCM (preferred) and Oracle Service Cloud
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- The ability to protect and keep personally identifiable information (PII), personal health information, and other information confidential

NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.

Position Information:
This Limited Term Employee (LTE) position is a temporary position for one year term, which may be renewed at Sandia's discretion up to a maximum of seven years.
Individuals in LTE positions may bid on regular Sandia positions as internal candidates, and in some cases may be converted to regular career positions during their term if warranted by ongoing operational needs, continuing availability of funds, and satisfactory job performance.
