Your work will help Pfizer in the critical area of portfolio management for our Research and Development (R&D) function. You will work as part of a team which designs and implements business processes to enable product research and development, portfolio prioritization, resource allocation and risk management.
As Associate Director, your advanced knowledge of the principles and concepts of project management and comprehensive knowledge of other vaccine research and development disciplines will enable you to lead complex projects across the division. Your ability to develop and manage plans will facilitate achieving objectives, interpreting internal and external business challengesand recommending best practices for improvements. While managing complex project environments, you will be able to anticipate and troubleshoot roadblocks and influence teams to achieve targets for the division.

How You Will Achieve It
Develop ideas and support complex projects acrossthe division.
Develop and manage plans to achieve objectives.
Support Program Leader(s) and Program Director to develop program plans that encompass the overall strategy for the development of vaccines andtherapeuticsin all indications ensuring alignment among the overall strategic, operational, and line plans.
Interact closely with scientific staff to understand everyday facility challenges.
Manage vaccine research and development projects by providing scientific perspective.
Applytechnical, team, and line knowledge along with comprehensive scheduling knowledge to contribute to the achievement of program team deliverables.
Supporttranslation of team’s strategic objectives into operational plans; provide insight into operational feasibility of proposed strategies
Support delivery of development plans in alignment with the program team strategies.
Qualifications
Must-Have
Bachelor’sDegree(BA/BS)and 7+ years of experience.
Experience with relevant project management tools.
Proficiency in the use of word processing, Excel, Word,Outlook and PowerPoint.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Nice-to-Have
Master’sdegree(MA/MS/MBA)and7+ years ofexperience.
Doctorate(PhD/PharmD/JD)and 4+ years ofexperience.
PMP or similar Project Management Certifications.
Knowledge of vaccine development, serology, clinical operations, protocolsand development budgets.
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
