Job Description

We are seeking a Unites States Digital Readiness Team (US DRT) Manager. This role will report to the Unites States Digital Readiness Team Lead and sits within the Customer Experience and Engagement team within the Pfizer Digital organization. The DRT’s mission is to help colleagues navigate Pfizer’s digital review process by bringing together Director-level and above cross-functional key stakeholders to provide consolidated, consistent guidance, at all stages of the digital planning process. Together streamlined execution of innovative promotional digital initiatives and upgrades.

This role will support the US DRT by focusing on the development, maintenance, and communication of US DRT Guidelines, with a focus on writing, vetting, alignment, and distribution of digital guidelines to the US organization. Your work will allow you the opportunity to directly contribute to moving digital initiatives forward faster at Pfizer, while interacting with Senior Leadership, digitally forward brand teams, and the DRT Agency of Record (AOR).

With our business divided across a number of distinct business units, the DRT guidelines support digital acceleration in the US and across the globe through reduction of duplication, and clarity compliant activation at scale for new digital capabilities. As we explore new media and new platforms, we must ensure our regulatory/compliance processes keep pace with this rate of change in order not to stifle our ability to innovate while maintaining our commitment to zero compliance issues.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Write, manage, and own the development of US DRT guideline documents for digital platforms and channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, display advertising, podcasts, chatbots, and email marketing, among others.

  • Draft guidance, vet it with cross-functional Senior level DRT team (Regulatory, Legal, Pfizer Digital Omnichannel Services, Privacy, Safety, Medical, Commercial Quality Oversight) and other Pfizer stakeholders as needed.

  • Manage development of DRT guideline communications, include Alert memos.  Draft, vet, and distribute communications in alignment with team priorities.

  • Engage with various cross-functional internal and external stakeholders to track new trends in Social Media platforms. Take an informal leadership role in facilitating the review of trends relevant to Pfizer business needs and their incorporation into DRT guidelines.

  • Ensure DRT guideline reviews and updates are executed with Excellence. Understand and advise DRT on specific platform functionality as it relates to guideline development for each platform (e.g. FB, IG, Chatbots, etc), ensuring limitations and guardrails for compliant usage are well understood by the team and managing key guideline dependencies.

  • Exercise sound judgment in anticipating priorities and potential conflicts to ensure guideline deadlines are met and team members are prepared, informed, and engaged to facilitate efficient discussions for timely updates and delivery.

  • Manage agency resources contracted by US DRT as needed to implement necessary updates or develop new guidelines.

  • Provide support to key brand stakeholders - answering questions about DRT guidelines and conducting guideline training/awareness sessions as needed.

  • Prepare and actively manage DRT meeting outputs. Own and manage the DRT meeting invites, attendance, and minutes. Review and gain alignment with DRT Lead and Agency of record on post-meeting deliverables (e.g. meeting minutes and all stakeholder follow-ups).

  • Act as a backup for US DRT Lead as needed during DRT reviews.

  • Lead the development of the US DRT Newsletter by sourcing article topics, engaging with marketers/project owners to review and approve articles, and managing creative agency support related to its creation. Work with International Markets DRT Manager in development of global team newsletters.

  • Lead the development, preparation, and communication of US DRT metrics and other KPIs to key stakeholders.

  • Explore and implement new tools for automatization and simplification of DRT operational processes.

  • Support the continuous improvement of the operating model focusing on internal customer engagement.

  • Support record keeping, filing, and archiving of information in accordance with company procedures and requirements.

  • Support DRT communication processes. e.g. maintain mailboxes, templates, automated mailing solutions, distribution lists, and training schedules.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree with at five years of relevant experience in tech-savvy communications, marketing, or research; this includes 1-2 years’ experience working in an agency, consultancy, or within a corporate environment; OR Master’s degree with three years of relevant experience; OR Associate's degree with eight years of relevant experience; OR Ph.D. with 0+ years of experience; OR 10 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Healthcare or pharmaceutical experience strongly preferred.

  • Superior written and verbal skills, with experience and interest in business writing

  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once, and to interconnect elements from different Guidelines to ensure seamless, consistent communication.

  • Experience utilizing digital content and social media for brand initiatives.

  • Familiarity with digital channels and interest in the core functionality and best practices for social and paid media; interest in keeping up with new trends and key updates to the major platforms.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, along with exceptional organizational skills

  • Comfortable quickly adapting to new organizational cultures.

  • Strong interest in emerging technologies

  • You are adaptable, realistic, practical, and agile.

  • Interest in business strategy, and business process improvement

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $84,200.00 to $140,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
