Job Description

The China Commercial Enablement Director serves as the pivotal partner among CMO organization (incl. China Marketing Enablement and Commercial Operation team), L&D, China business, enabling CMO’s expertise, solutions, and capabilities to enhance business performance and drive marketing commercial excellence towards our blueprint goal of building the world’s most effective commercial engine.

Led an agile team, his/her key responsibilities of this role are:

Deeply understand both the China business priorities and CMO value drivers and anticipate how/when to bring CMO expertise & centralized support to China brand teams.

  • Anticipate business needs and priorities of product teams where CMO value drivers can enable faster/better execution and impact.
  • Drive performance optimization of the integrated marketing model and communicating insights and learnings across TA.
  • Take on shared goals/accountability to drive specific business objectives and demonstrate business impact.

Strategically localize and activate Adobe/Colab based on business priorities to support business for enhanced efficiency.

  • Phased approach to launch Adobe/CoLab (new content platform and agency model) in China based on China dynamics and business priorities.
  • Activate and promote the effective collaboration with CoLab and the use of Adobe.
  • Optimize way of working and drive CoLab/Adobe performance where possible
  • Cross-functional stakeholder engagement locally and globally:
    • China leadership team incl. BUGMs, PIC, Finance, Procurement to drive the utilization and troubleshoot risks and opportunities regarding to Adobe/CoLab
    • CoLab Team to optimize service delivery for business.
    • CMO and CO teams to ensure marketing model, frameworks and training are practical and applicable to the business and includes latest thinking from marketing teams.

Coordinate an integrated way of working, support consistent marketing capability building and the implementation of the marketing excellence framework.

  • Facilitate the global-regional-local way of working in terms of marketing plan process, standards, and strategy.
  • Be the catalyst to activate innovative initiatives by marketing teams with CMO expertise and identify/cross-pollinate innovation across the business.
  • Identify and help address any gaps in marketing plans and implementation against marketing excellence standards.
  • Support marketing capability building based on global standards and local needs.

Support overarching commercial operation excellence. Mobilizing and coordinate the local/global capabilities to address the strategic questions in terms of commercial operation from GCEE and China leadership team.

  • Lead/ coordinate strategic project in response to local/global needs.
  • Facilitate cross verticals to provide integrated solutions/frameworks where needed.

Right hand to the Marketing Enablement and Commercial Operation Lead - to strategically define, evolve, and optimize the team priorities and way of working; support the Lead for team development and capabilities building.

Demonstrate matrix leadership and build successful collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders including China leadership team, China marketing teams, CoLab partners, CMO Commercial Excellence and Enablement Teams, other CMO teams; brining subject matter expertise and value drivers wherever needed.

Ensure effective implementation of new ways of working with Global teams and leverage learnings and best practices across markets.

REFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree and MBA
  • 12+ years of experience in Marketing/Commercial/Operation pharma and other industries w/broad knowledge of healthcare ecosystems in China
  • Track record of networking & working collaboratively across functions & geographies
  • Track record of creating/executing marketing strategies in major markets w/ accountability; experience with launch brands a plus
  • Strong analytical skills to conduct root cause analyses to diagnoses and prioritize the right problem/solution (i.e., solve the cause, not the symptom)
  • Lead cross-functional and cross-business projects and initiatives, identifying risks and removing roadblocks to enable the teams to achieve successful delivery
  • Demonstrating executive presence and strong leadership capabilities including: the ability to effectively influence senior leaders, engage and collaborate other leaders/peers, guide/support the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
  • Be an active contributor to create and operate in an inclusive environment that continuously embraces and encourages the implementation of new capabilities, innovative ideas, generates high-performance and fosters a culture of collaboration and teamwork
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work on multiple tasks with a strong sense of urgency and enthusiasm while prioritizing and meeting brand/business goals

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE

The role will require flexibility to work with US and Europe time-zone on regular basis
