ROLE SUMMARY
Pfizer is seeking a Lead of Primary Care Commercial Effectiveness (PC CE) in the Insights Strategy & Execution (ISE) team. This Lead is the primary analytics partner to the Primary Care Customer Engagement Platform (PC CEP) Leader. They will lead a team that focuses on commercial analytics and insights for the customer-facing organization. They will work closely with senior sales leaders, providing them with valuable analyses to improve customer engagement and drive business growth. The leader will empower the team to excel in their roles and encourage innovative thinking to gain a competitive advantage. They also will collaborate with senior sales leaders to identify and pursue the best opportunities at a sub-national level to meet performance targets.
The leader and their team will also be responsible for strategic field force planning, including determining the size, structure, and targets for the sales team. As part of this work, they will work with Data Science leaders, ISE partners, Enablement, and Analytics Project Management team members to ensure the successful implementation of these plans, which are crucial for maximizing Pfizer's investment in the customer-facing organization. Additionally, the leader will focus on operational efficiency and simplicity by streamlining business processes, establishing effective governance, and meeting management practices, and fostering collaboration among team members across different areas of the company.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Point of Contact and key Commercial Analytics & AI (CAAI) business partner to the PC CEP Leader:
Be the key CAAI business partner and member of the PC CEP LT responsible for driving growth and achieving targets through FF analytics
Be an accelerator by ensuring alignment within the PC business, participating on or leading special projects as “pilot in command”
Team Leadership:
Lead and inspire a high-performing team members with strong analytics capabilities, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment to achieve business objectives.
Lead field force sizing, structuring, and targeting analytic efforts in partnership with Commercial Analytics & AI teams:
Lead Strategic FF Planning and Deployment Considerations, including determining the size, structure, and targets for the sales team.
Guide analytical work to ensure approaches are consistent with strategy, collaborating with Data Science leaders, ISE partners, and Analytics Project Management team members
Ensure the successful implementation of FF analytic plans, which are crucial for maximizing Pfizer's investment in the customer-facing organization
Rigorously measure and drive performance of the business:
Ensure business critical projects and initiatives are followed through by tracking progress against timelines and ensure key milestones are being met; help troubleshoot and de-bottleneck where needed
Monitor sales force effectiveness (e.g., reps/ Pfizer Connect/ Navigators) and work with customer facing team leaders on operational enablement of teams
Collaborate with Analytics Engineering on customized analytical support to address key business questions as appropriate
Serve as a connection point with the franchise and business:
Collaborate with Franchises to develop insights into evolving therapeutic context and implications for the franchises e.g., evolving consumer needs, diagnostic innovations, government policy changes, etc.; serve as conduit to exchange insights on customer needs assessment, market / product / channel segmentation
Serve as a connection point with business on common issues e.g., government tendering, portfolio marketing, etc.
Operational Efficiency
Be a leader in operational efficiency and simplicity by ensuring fit for purpose business processes. Continuously evaluate and streamline existing processes and workflows to drive efficiency and productivity. Identify and implement best practices to enhance commercial operations in partnership with CMO Operations functions.
Metrics & Reporting
Track metrics and develop tailored dashboards by customer facing teams to drive business insights and action
Provide data input into brand/portfolio performance dashboards developed by brand/franchise teams
Enable Field Force Operational Effectiveness
Provide planning guidance on changes in FF targeting, quarter or semester prioritization of customers as needed (i.e. new indication or product launches, pulsing of efforts based on strategic business goals throughout the year)
Identify operational synergies and areas of improvement to be more effective (i.e. IC design, systems enabling FF effectiveness such as iMap, next-generation DRA, CRM systems, coaching insights)
Continuous improvement for US PC Go-To-Market Transformation
Support FF adoption of digital tools/platforms, cross-pollinating customer facing best practices to enhance customer experience; identify areas of continuous improvement
Liaise with CMO and enterprise business partners to support adoption of the new/updated tools/platforms/capabilities, and share feedback from customer engagement teams as appropriate
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
15+ years of pharmaceutical, Biotech, or consultant experience
BA/BS Degree required. MBA or advanced degree in a related field preferred
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced analytics experience, including FF sizing, structuring, and targeting analytics
Demonstrated success in a highly fast-paced setting managing a team of diverse colleagues in multi-disciplinary positions
Lead cross-functional and peer collaboration
Documented ability to lead innovation and develop partnerships to build on business opportunities and organizational capabilities
Foundation in data science preferred
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $191,300.00 to $318,800.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
