Sr Director - Process, Platform and Analytics & Insights Lead
Job Description
The Process, Platform and Analytics & Insights Lead is responsible for Global Source to Pay processes, platforms, analytics & insights, continuous improvement, and M&A support.
This role requires developing the strategic vision of this function to relentlessly increase efficiency, effectiveness and colleague experience across the entire S2P process, while simultaneously managing the execution of these capabilities.
This is a highly visible role that requires collaboration with senior leaders and teams within S2P and other functions (e.g. Digital).
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Analytics & Insights
- Provide sourcing intelligence capabilities, including reporting, metrics, analytics, forecasts, and insights on procurement and payables data
- Responsible for solutions that deliver market intelligence to drive insights and decision making
- Measure current operational performance, supporting strategic initiatives, & providing regulatory reports
- Define and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness and impact of analytics initiatives on procurement performance, cost savings, and operational efficiency
- Oversee and manage total cost reduction initiatives through the identification, development and execution of aligned strategic sourcing and negotiations
- Oversee and manage external benchmarking and industry research exercises to identify best practices and emerging trends in sourcing analytics and to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the sourcing function
- Leads direction of creating TCO calculations to help determine allocations while considering supplier relationships and impact on future cooperation
Process
- As the business process owner, responsible for S2P processes, ensuring compliance in collaboration with the Policy and Compliance team, and driving modernization and evolution based on leading market practices
- Define process globally for S2P (e.g. sourcing, contracting, invoicing) and collaborate with functional owners to develop and track appropriate KPIs
- Identify opportunities to standardize, optimization and automate processes
- Support S2P stakeholders with the identification of continuous improvement initiatives
Continuous Improvement
- Manage continuous improvement and optimization initiatives across S2P
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize initiatives to continuously improve the efficiency, effectiveness and colleague experience
- Develop business cases and track ROI of initiatives
Platform
- Create and maintain the S2P technology roadmap
- Responsible for all sourcing, procurement, contracting, and payables systems/tools; continuously improving the user experience by enhancing functionality and features
- Develop and implement a digital/AI strategic roadmap for S2P, pinpointing areas for optimization, efficiency enhancement, cost reduction, and elevating user experience
- Monitor the external environment and develop business cases for next generation applications
- Work in partnership with Digital to ensure that systems are functioning properly, that new features are being implemented within budget, and troubleshooting issues that arise
M&A Support
- Lead on behalf of S2P all integration activities for mergers/acquisitions integration and separation activities for divestitures, including workstreams focused on P2P, sourcing, and contracting
People Management & Development
- Build and lead a high-performing team of S2P members
- Provide coaching and development to team members
Team Management
- Global team of 40+ resources
- People managers & individual contributors will report to this position
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Business, Computer Science, Operations & Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline
- 15+ years of experience in a S2P analytics or S2P process improvement function
- Strong analytical skills, experience working with data, and a deep understanding of procurement and supply chain management
- Strong experience in developing sourcing analytics strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives
- Deep experience managing teams to identify and deliver process improvements utilizing various techniques (e.g. Lean Six Sigma)
- Strong knowledge of S2P technologies and platforms
- Strong knowledge of key industry trends and best practices
- Strong Project Management experience
- Ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders across functions
- Flexible to changing priorities and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
- MBA or master’s degree in data science, strategy, management, or related field is a plus
- 8+ years’ experience delivering advanced analytics and insights OR implementing software solutions to automate data source, visualization and/or data modeling application
- 8+ years of relevant work experience building end to end solutions to performance measurement and process improvement
- Experience leading teams and strategic initiatives in the pharmaceutical industry
