Lead, Ultrasound Technologist – Radiology/Imaging

Join our team as a Lead Ultrasound Technologist, playing a pivotal role in the planning, organizing, and direction of staff within the Ultrasound modality. Reporting to the Imaging Manager, this position oversees the daily operations of the Ultrasound department, ensuring compliance with patient care standards and providing essential information for budget planning. The Lead Ultrasound Technologist maintains departmental efficiency and effectiveness while adhering to TJC, state, federal, and local regulatory laws.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Work with division management on planning, organizing and directing Ultrasound department operations and ensuring compliance with all local, state and federal regulations
  • Make daily observations of Ultrasound services to judge effectiveness of operation, utilization of personnel and supplies, and general ethical and professional atmosphere. Periodically update department management of this status
  • Carry on daily evaluation of operations including appropriate staffing levels, complete charge capture, effective patient scheduling, timely availability of imaging exams, and safe patient care
  • Perform high quality imaging consistent with prescribed exams; documents deviation

Your qualifications should include:

  • Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training in Ultrasonography. Equivalent experience may substitute for minimum education requirements
  • At least 7 years of experience as a sonographer in an ultrasound department
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification required or must be obtained within six months of hire date.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $47.23 - $70.84 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
