As a successful candidate, you will:

  • The Project Manager will plan, execute and monitor strategic initiatives and manage the performance of ongoing programs. The position will partner with the department leadership and or vendor management to manage operations, workflows, timelines, coordination of project needs, changes and resource allocations of the strategic projects identified and prioritized by department leadership. This position will:
  • Directly lead the project management of strategic initiative
  • Serve as a liaison between department staff and leadership, external partners, and operational leads to ensure objectives are achieved
  • Create and execute project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Manage daily tasks associated with implementation of projects
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and help to develop, design, and conduct projects according to plan, including planning new procedures, regularly evaluating outcome goals, and adapting workflows, resources and timelines existing to the needs of the project.
  • Establish routine reporting and templates.
  • Manage stakeholder communication and updates to gather input and drive stakeholder engagement
  • At times, provide administrative support for project needs, as necessary.
  • Administrates and facilitates pre-project activities, project scope, project activity implementation, performance and reporting, including adherence to project scope, financial targets, adherence to schedule and post-implementation review Performs quality assurance inspections to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Lead all project management aspects of assigned initiatives
  • Acts as a liaison with end users to determine scope of project requirements, available budget, and required project timeframe.
  • Develops draft project scope, content, schedule and budgetary estimate. Presents to end user and other responsible parties for approval. Incorporate feedback from internal resources, external advisors, or/and end-users.
  • Communicates project status and facilitates communication between all parties involved on project.
  • Defines and implements appropriate controls to ensure all benefits of projects are realized, as well as post-implementation monitoring of relevant operational and financial performance metrics and service level agreements.
  • Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to maintain certification/licensure, and/or keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration, Public Health, Business Administration or relevant field. 4 years of additional experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
  • Two years’ experience working in hospital operations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $41.92 - $64.97 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
