The Food Service Worker II may work anywhere on property where food is prepared. This person may assist in setup and serving of food from counters and steamtables. The FSW II may be responsible for handling cash and credit transactions from customers. Duties will include cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work stations. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but City of Hope may identify other responsibilities of the position.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Responsible for the setup and assembly of meals from tray-line and/or kitchen
  • May set up and stock the beverage area, grab and go items, service ware and condiments other food products and utensils. May be required to restock other beverage areas.
  • May be required to prepare for service before the meal and clean the dining room after the meal (wiping tables, vacuuming the floor, cleaning chairs, ensuring the acceptable appearance of the dining area).
  • May operate a cash register (or equivalent), receive payments of cash, checks and charges from customers or employees for goods or services, and make change and issue receipts or tickets to customers.
    • Responsible for accurate ring of proper PLU for sale items and/or accurate barcode scan.
    • Maintains proper security of cash at all times.
    • Understands and follows City of Hope cash-handling policies and procedures.

Your qualifications should include:

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $20.86 - $24.99 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
