Environmental Services Technician

The successful candidate:
Job type: Full-time with alternating weekends
Hours: 8am - 4:00pm

Performs a variety of complex floor care duties including, but not limited to, operating specialized floor care equipment, commercial vacuum use, stripping/refinishing carpets and hard floor surfaces, and other general cleaning duties in order to provide a safe, attractive, environment for patients, visitors, and employees within the hospital.
Responds promptly to all requests for services.
Maintaining thorough knowledge of chemicals utilized and chemical safety procedures
Completing logs and maintains all other required documentation.
Follows established guidelines and protocols to ensure safety while operating equipment and furniture and ensure repairs are reported.
Moderately complex work often requiring independent judgement.
May assist leadership with new hire onboarding and on-the-job training on cleaning techniques, chemical usage, supply restocking, and infection control procedures including hand hygiene.
Focuses on and serves as a role model of responsive customer service.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Minimum Experience:
3 years relevant experience preferred, but not required
Healthcare Environmental Services experience preferred
Floor Care experience preferred
Must be able to communicate effectively, read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
Strong customer services skills
Ability to work well on a team
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $17.00 - $21.90 / hour
