Job Description
The purpose of the Solutions Project Manager is to lead multiple solution-focused projects (e.g.
operational - and/or technical-focused) simultaneously (projects may vary in number, discipline, size and
complexity) from initiation to delivery and benefits realization with guidance and supervision. Monitors
dependencies across projects (including integrating vendor tasks and tracking) and responsible for
providing analysis, forecasting, and modeling utilizing the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool, to
align resource requirements within the projects. Applies practical knowledge in project management and
may direct the work team members (or external parties) manage on the projects. Accountable for
providing project management leadership by developing detailed project plans through planning and
managing all implementation processes including progress tracking, monitoring change control process,
solution design and build, QA testing, documentation, training and on-time delivery within budget
constraints while integrating vendor tasks, tracking and reviewing vendor deliverables (if applicable) into
the plan. Helps equip the organization with Project Management training and collaborates on EPM
department initiatives as requested by EPM Leadership.
Minimum Education & Licensure/Certification Required:
-Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, Project Management, Information Technology. or equivalent
-(PMP) Project Management Professional (or obtain within 12 months) through Project Management Institute
Minimum Experience Required:
Minimum 2 years’ related project management experience which must encompass:
• Experience in leading technical and/or operational-focused projects.
• Experience working in a client or patient focused environment.
• Experience with information analysis, resource and capacity planning, problem solving, budgeting,
team coordination, strategic planning, and quality management.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience within a formalized Project Management Office (PMO).
• Experience using an industry-standard Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool.
Minimum Skills/Specialized Training Required
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required (within 12 months).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple solution-focused (e.g. operational and/or
technical) projects (with limited guidance).
• Able to exercise independent judgment (with limited guidance) and take action on it.
• Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail.
• Highly self-motivated and directed.
• Exceptional skills with the MS Office suite of tools: Project, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Excel.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
• Experience managing and leading resources in a complex, matrixed environment.
• Have a demonstrated ability to communicate direction and concepts at multiple levels, from team
members to senior executives.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interface with and influence team members at
diverse levels with different backgrounds and perspectives.
• Must have exceptional leadership skills and display a positive, dependable, and strong work ethic.
• Ability to adapt and respond to changing circumstances and priorities (flexible during times of
change).
• Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is
essential.
Preferred Experience
• Experience in a Healthcare/Research/Cancer Center environment.
• Experience of Earned Value techniques and reporting.

Certified Prosci Change Practitioner, Agile Certified Practitioner, Certified ScumMaster
